NY & TX @ MA Visit

We were from out-of-state (NY and TX) and this hotel was convenient to visiting our MA family members. The rooms were both King Rooms and were very nice, although a bit pricey. They were quite large, well appointed, and very clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We have stayed at this venue in the past and will again in the future.

No desk lamp

I am a spire member who stayed here in early December. I was upgraded to a larger room. When I needed to do work at desk I noticed there was no light on the desk I called front desk to say light was missing. i was told when the rooms were upgraded the lights were taken out and the lights above the TV and storage dresser should be enough for me to see. Definitely not the case. This is the first HI Express I have stayed in with no light on the desk. With no help from front desk I had to move the desk to in front of the couch and use the floor light that was behind the couch. How can a hotel have a desk with no light and expect a person to be able to do work. Beware if you plan to work at your desk to bring a flashlight or move the desk. Other than the lack of help on this issue with night time front desk person the room was clean and quiet.

We have stayed at this hotel multiple times in the past and always had good experiences. When checking in we were upgraded to a suite which is nice but the room didn’t have a table and chairs (which we knew they have since we stayed in a suite this summer). Also something had leaked out of the refrigerator and wasn’t cleaned. When we complained we were switched to another room. The young girl said she checked the room but the bathroom mirror was filthy with handprints and grime all over it. Later that night the same young girl said ‘how do we know you didn’t do it’. Thank goodness we were only staying one night.

Very nice place - painful shower, smokey entrance

This hotel was very comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and even the chair in the room was relaxing. Breakfast very good with plenty of options. Coffee was downright great for free hotel coffee! The shower was, hands down, the most powerful shower I've ever experienced. It literally hurt to get a shower. The stream that came out was so strong that I had to hold on to the hand rail. It was nice and hot, though, and quite... invigorating? I think that's the proper way to describe it. The big downside is that there is a smoking area right in front of the doors. It made every trip in and out a stinky experience but smokers are people too... the downside part was that, at night, several people who must be construction workers based on their uniforms and vehicles were smoking and drinking out front. We got back after a late dinner and the crowd that was standing out front was enough for me to move my vehicle to another entrance after seeing them and how they were parking their vehicles. If I am back in the area, however, this will be my go-to place to stay. There is a convenience store within the same parking lot that was nice to have so close. The roo had a fridge and microwave. The wifi was a little slow but it was reliable.

Hotel ok - no hot water though....

Hotel is 2.5 stars.... beds are comfy and room is clean. Big issue is there is no hot water. They keep saying that they are trying to “fix it”. When you turn the hot water on - nothing comes out. Showers are warm for approx 60 sec. We planned to check out yet they refuse to comp our nights or even try to assist us. Funny how there are no reviews about there not being ANY hot water.... We will NEVER stay here again!!!
