Be careful

We booked this hotel at short notice so we could have a later night than originally planned and to not have to worry about Xmas taxi's. The hotel seems fine but insist on a £50 deposit on check which was paid and to be returned on checkout, after phoning the hotel 6 days in a row I have been told the same thing each time "your deposit will be refunded later today or tomorrow morning" this has still not been actioned. At £50 a night it was OK at £100 a night there are far better options in the town centre with much better facilities and customer service

Wonderful hotel and staff

Reviewed 23 december, 2021

My family and I stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The staff were lovely and so helpful. Breakfast is delicious and we had dinner there, a spectacular homemade curry. All food was halal which was a wonderful surprise. The bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and very clean. When we left the manager made my family and I a packed lunch which we devoured on our journey. Cannot fault the hotel and we will be back again. Definitely the place I will now stay when visiting relatives in Middlesbrough.

You get what you pay for

We stayed here weekend of 12th November I can't leave a bad review. Postives, our room was great, it was clean and the bathroom had a great shower, very clean too. Staff were lovely. We would definitely book again if in the area. Negative, no disabled access, being disabled this was a huge issue for me. The smell of dope could make you high without touching a joint, the corridor was sticking with it.

DEATHLY

Reviewed 11 october, 2021

Visited the hotel a month ago. I work for the nhs. I was on a break and I made the mistake of falling for a delusion of the way the hotel looks from the outside. I hope everyone reads this review before booking this hotel: the capslock is to alarm you. This hotel is horrible. It is not even worth being called a hotel, let alone a motel. Let me back my opinion: 1. Limited to no access to very poor quality 'free wifi'. Complaints were ignored completely. 2. Owner of the hotel found numerous times standing around reception like a hawk coming off as unprofessional. 3. Rooms were small and crampy. Very dirty with limited access to room cleaning ( whom do not clean the whole room apparently). 4. Treated very poorly and felt as if were put in a part of the hotel that only people of a certain ethnicity were residing in - the part of the hotel with small and crampy rooms. 5. Infested toilet floors. Found tiny worms and all kinds of insects on the floor. Cleaned the toilet floors up myself everyday as the staff wouldnt clean the toilets for some reason. 6. Breakfast was strange. I mean I do not think itd befitting of a hotel to provide such low quality breakfast 7. Receptionists were cold and seemed very unprofessional. Not very communicative or welcoming. 8. Stayed in the marriot hotel for just 10 pounds more per night and the service I got there was impeccable. The baltimore isnt even worth 10 pounds a night. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. Its not worth your hard earned money. I've never stayed in such a bad hotel before. I would recommend the holiday inn express or even premier inn in middlesbrough. Just avoid the baltimore; for your own benefit. Happy holidays.

Looked a nice place at the reception area and was a right dive past the doors to the rooms. Everything. In our room was dirty, called reception who brought us clean cups, then called the again and he came and took photos. Breakfast looked like it was days old and a long hair in my tomatoes
