Two Nights' stay was Superb

Hotel staff persons were excellent, gracious, and friendly. They went out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. After encountering three auto accidents along a 15 hours trip from Florida, we arrived around 9:30pm the first night and we weren't disappointed. We departed at 4:30 am two days later. Night staff was just as gracious. The room was spacious and definitely clean as described by employee - Joshua- when we made the initial reservation by phone. Linens and bathrooms were also clean. Refrigerator was big enough too. Hotel's proximity to downtown and nice restaurants was superb. We enjoyed early morning hikes on the grounds which were nicely kept and safe. The military discount made our stay unusually affordable. And social distancing was maintained. Thank-you to all.

Overall, a pleasant stay, but.....too many issues.
For starters, no mattress cover on the bed, the pull out sofa bed was filthy, and full of debris, the toilet didn't flush properly, and was eventually fixed, the hot tub wasn't working when we arrived, and still wasn't working when we left three days later, someone opened the door late at night and scared the hell out of us....fortunately we had the latch to prevent it from opening all the way....with a voice that said "just checking your room".
We found out they following day that they were overbooked, and were checking rooms for vacancies. Well if we were already booked and in the room for the last three nights, there's someone in the room, right??
I understand that help is hard to find these days, then charge less for getting less. As the title of the review goes....this our third hotel stay this summer.....don't expect much, you'll only be disappointed. What I do expect: amenities to be all in service, and the room to be clean.....lets call that two strikes.
Clean & Comfortable

My fiancé and I stayed here for one night during a drive from South Carolina to New Jersey. It was not a planned stay but the traffic in the evening became unbearable due to multiple construction zones. Just what we needed for weary travelers. The room and bathroom were both clean and the bed was comfortable. We did not use any amenities so I can't comment on them.

Stayed at the courtyard with my husband and 2 kids on the way from NY to South Carolina. We found the room to be clean and the hotel itself is in pretty good shape. We didn’t have time to use the rest of the facilities. I was not impressed with the lack of hospitality at check in but attributed it to our 11:30pm checkin. In the morning, that same attendant was around and still showed signs of ‘please don’t bother me’. The hotel is great, I just wish the staff was better trained at ‘hospitality’.
A man worth meeting

My husband and I have been fortunate to have traveled to many countries and we have seen some amazing sites and met so many wonderful people. I've never recommended a story idea about anyone, until now. Recently on a quick trip to see our daughter, who we hadn't seen for almost 2 years due to Covid, we met a man we felt the world should know. Tucked away behind the counter of the hotel's breakfast restaurant is a man called Alfred. Just Alfred. Right here in America is a man who is as funny as he is compassionate. The kind of man, that once you catch on that he is pulling your leg, will brighten your day, everyday. We were thrilled to see our daughter on our two day trip, but we were privileged to meet Alfred.
