A decent conference stay

Reviewed 16 july, 2022

The Wi-Fi gave me problems and the signage for the skywalks wasn’t helpful (the most useful route toward Nicolllette Mall and the River was not marked). Otherwise, it was an OK stay. The pool was big enough for actual swimming, which was also appreciated.

Good location for conference; many little issues during stay

Reviewed 14 july, 2022

We stayed here for 5 nights for a conference. The location is fairly convenient to get to the convention center as well as some of the sights in the area. We walked around a lot and took a ride share for other things. We were had a corner junior suite. The room is very spacious with a living area with a sofa, three chairs, coffee table, and two end tables with lamps. The king size bed was comfortable. Across from it was the small desk, a TV, drawers, a small fridge, and a coffee machine. The bathroom has a single sink with a huge mirror and lots of counter space. I really appreciated that under the mirror there’s an automatic nightlight – wish this was standard in hotels as it can be difficult finding your way to the bathroom in the middle of the night. It has a tub with an old and not very adjustable showerhead. The room came with two bathrobes, which is always a nice touch. The touches and décor of the room make it seem like it hadn’t been updated in a while and was in need of some TLC. The rooms and the entire hotel property were clean. Hilton is still not doing automatic housekeeping so at check-in you need to specify if/when you would like it, we requested it every day. The fridge was left ajar, and the back was frozen solid. We closed it and let it cool down properly. The next morning, I heard noises of the defrost cycle and ice dropping – had to get towels to wipe up all the water. The night we checked in we noticed that an issue with the shower curtain, I texted the front desk at almost midnight, received a prompt response. The next morning when I opened the door, I noticed a new shower curtain waiting for us. The second night we came back to the room to discover that housekeeping had cleaned the room, took all the used towels, and replaced all the towels but the big bath towels. I had to call down to the front desk to request them. The third night, we were gone from the room from around 10:30am until about 5, came back and the room had not been cleaned. I called down and they confirmed we were scheduled for a cleaning but must not have gotten to it, he was going to have someone send up some fresh towels. We left for the evening, came back around 10pm, no new towels, had to call down again to request towels. On the last night, housekeeping came and this time they took both of our bathrobes that were hanging on the bathroom hook (like every other day)! I almost called but figured it wasn’t worth it for the final night. We tried to check out the gym, but our cards didn’t work the first night, we thought maybe it was because it was late, so we went back the next day. They didn’t work again, so we called down and the people were surprised we didn’t get a second purple card specifically for the gym. We went down and picked up another card just for the gym. This must have been a temporary issue because a day or two later it was replaced with a tap sensor like the hotel room. We requested and were graciously granted a late checkout. Unfortunately, as we returned to the room a final time to get ready to checkout, the key card wouldn’t work, it was giving us a red light. We went down to the front desk; they gave us a new keycard. We walked across the lobby, back up the elevator, down to the end of the hall to the room, still didn’t work! Went back down again! This time the front desk gave us multiple keycards and said that one of them should work. Thankfully, it did – one final frustration in our stay. Every place is currently short staffed, and it showed during this stay with all the various missteps and the lines I saw often at the front desk. I don’t think the hotel was ready to cope with a large conference in town.

Quiet but needs some cleaning

Reviewed 13 july, 2022

Our room was quiet which was impressive considering there were multiple conventions going on at the same time. However, everything really needed a good cleaning. Our bathroom had a ton of hair from the last person on the floor and in the tub. The shower curtain was dirty and stained. The weight room floor was really gross. Again, a simple vacuuming would take care of the problem quickly. Not sure I’d stay here again.

An Easy Place to STay

Reviewed 10 july, 2022

I was in town for a big sports tournament, so there were lots of us in the hotel. But even though it was full, the room was clean, quiet and ready when I needed it. The front desk people were incredibly friendly and we even traded info on good restaurants. The location could not be beat -- a couple of blocks from the convention center, the stadium and all kinds of places to eat and see.

Very clean accommodations

Reviewed 25 june, 2022

The food availability was limited and was okay. There is no room service offered which would have been helpful since I suffered a migraine during my stay. The rooms are very clean and majority of the staff was very friendly.
