Hip, fun stay
I love this place! The distillery offers a cool space to hang out in while enjoying great food and hip drinks. Staff staff is so friendly and helpful. I love the Decour of the rooms, especially enjoyed the clawfoot tub. The bed was very comfortable, which is always top of my list. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable, quaint getaway with hip flair. Hope to return again soon.
Amazing Winter Get-away!
My husband and I wanted to visit Voyageurs National Park during the winter, and I happened upon this hotel when looking for lodging online. I had points to use, and that's what made me select this hotel over the typical chains we usually stay in. It looked a little swanky for us, but I booked it anyway. Boy am I glad I did! We don't normally pamper ourselves, but this hotel did just that. The ambiance was incredible--each space was modern, yet a throwback to the bygone era of prohibition. The prohibition story is liberally explained throughout the hotel and cocktail room, and the decorative touches support the theme. In terms of the room and amenities, all were great. The décor was spot-on; the tub and bath products were luxurious; and the beds were comfortable. We loved being on the third floor because we could easily head out to the roof-top hot tub and sauna. Both felt great after a day of skiing and snowshoeing! Finally, I must comment on the cocktails and food. Typically, we bring along microwave meals for our trips, but decided to treat ourselves. What a treat it was! We spent both evenings trying their amazing drinks. We tend to be craft beer and wine drinkers, but this was fun and opened up a new realm of possibilities. Their menu was extensive, unique, and delicious. And if that wasn't enough, the service was impeccable. From suggestions, to conversation, to laughter, our servers made for two delightful evenings. Mary was fantastic, and the young man (I never got his name) was equally great. Thank you for a wonderful winter get-away!
Best hotel in the area, and it is unbelievably nice.
This place is a gem in the area. I've only come here for the first time, and have been driving around the area for work. The Cantilever is by far the nicest hotel/property I have seen. Spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and very nice/open bathrooms with tiled walk in shower.
Fantastic and Unique
Our stay at the Cantilever Distillery and hotel was very relaxing, comfortable and delicious !! The staff we encountered were so friendly and accommodating. The location was great for all kinds of activities. The unique food and beverages were very good. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel experience.
Unique!
The hotel is beautiful, our dinner and drinks were delicious. We were a bit disappointed when we walked in on a snowy night and wanted to order a latte. ( There is a sign hanging behind the front desk, with various coffees and lattes listed.) The desk attendant told us that she could not make any of the drinks because the machine was broken, and had been broken for some time. Just a suggestion- maybe take the sign down, or hang up a “sorry, not available!” Other than that, a northern Minnesota gem!
