Dirty & Lots of Noise
Reviewed 16 august, 2022
Hallway; carpet was very dirty(spots) and dark. Room; hair in bathtub, comforter looked as if it either was never cleaned or someone rolled and sat on it as it dried (extremely wrinkled); same with bed sheets & pillows which makes me think they were not changed? Pillows a No washcloths. Coffee items just thrown on tray, no TV guide, no paper/pen 5he usual items for any hotel rating three or higher. Trucks pulling up all night and sitting with engines running all night. Breakfast the norm, except biscuits were extremely dry and couldn’t eat. One large coffee maker that didn’t work, unreal there was no back up and there was allot of people. *I would be careful of higher reviews, check their standing out as traveling as much as I do this hotel is seriously over rated and is an actual 2.
Nice clean hotel.

This was a very nice, clean hotel. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. They had the standard hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and waffles. My only complaint would be a slightly funky smell coming from the air conditioning unit but I also expect that when the weather is really humid. I would definitely stay here again.
Overpriced and a few other issues

We made this reservation at the last minute so the price might have reflected that, but $200 for a room at this hotel seemed way too high. The bed was comfortable enough and the desk person was very friendly and professional, but the rest of the experience didn't live up to a $200 price tag. My main complaint is the huge ashtrays right outside the entrance door, meaning non-smoking guests have to walk past smokers to get inside. And this hotel seemed to attract a lot of smokers, not sure why, but the ashtrays were packed. Our room looked out over a huge truck stop, with big rigs parked just feet away. We had to turn the fan on high to cut out the noise. The exercise room was very compact, with little room to do anything but use the two machines squeezed into it. And for some reason, it doesn't open until 9 a.m. Most people want to work out when they get up, or at least I do. Luckily the friendly desk attendant let me into the gym early. We didn't use the pool or eat the breakfast, but they looked like pretty common fare that you see off of most highway exits. There are several other hotels here, and if we ever came through again we'd look for something that gives us more bang for the buck.
Major Need of Repairs

The lady that checked us in was not in uniform just street clothes. Very slow process to check in. After all checked in she announces our room numbers to a lobby full of truckers (nice breach of security). Get to the room and it is a wreck. There was dust and other leftover items from other guests. Ding in the wall and it just looked like it needed update. Huge crack in jetted tub and that had seen better days.

The place was well maintained and clean. I was just stopping through on my way to a different city and this is an awesome place. Karen at the front desk was extremely helpful and patient. Awesome place!
