2nd Stay
Second stay also very good. Hotel is well run and efficient. Staff accommodates as able - even offers whatever food they have if you ask about breakfast food before or after actual breakfast hours. Sometimes you have to find the desk staff as they are working in the back room or down the hall. Staff gave us the same room as on our first visit - nice that they recalled our earlier visit. Lobby is never busy and not much of a pandemic concern. Plenty of free parking. Reasonably priced.
Terrible service
Everyone was very nice and I loved my stay until I was woken up at 2am to my phone ringing not once but twice after I didn’t answer the first time. I answered the phone and it was someone from down stairs named carie who said she had gotten several reports that I was being too loud but I was sleeping the whole time.
Amazing Staff! Julia was great!
Arrived to this hotel later in the day. When asking what rooms were available, the front desk clerk, Julia, asked if I wanted 3rd or 4th floor. Since I am moving across country I have a lot to bring inside and asked about a possible 1st floor room. Julia excused herself for a moment and went down to inspect the room herself before issuing the room to me. Seemed like there were some housekeeping notes and she had to make sure everything was good for my stay. The room was very clean and everything was very good! Hope you have the chance to stay here!
Perfect and accept pets
My friend and I spent one night here after picking up kittens in Iowa. When we arrived there were a lot of people outside enjoying the patio area. The gal at check in was difficult to understand between the mask and the barrier but we managed. The hotel was clean. The doors to the rooms had a seal indicating it had been cleaned. Room was very large. Had a full size fridge. I needed a place that accepted pets. My two kittens, weighing less than two pounds each stayed in their carriers except when I put them in the litter box. Breakfast was a hot brown bag for lack of better terms but fit the bill before getting on the road home. I would definitely stay in a home2suite again.
Unbelievable -never thought I would have a bad experience at a Hilton property
I am traveling across the country to relocate and saw this location and read numerous favorable reviews. I called to book a room as we were within 30 minutes of Mishawaka and wanted to rest. The desk staff did not answer and the call was forwarded to the booking agent who confirmed room availability and began to book us a room. Unfortunately, the call dropped (bad cell signal). Since we were close, we proceeded to the hotel. I was greeted by a member of the staff (Carrie) who told me that she could not check me in as it was too late and against Hilton policy (according to Carrie, Hilton desk staff can not check-in anyone between the hours of 11 pm and 4 am. Additionally, she said that Hilton booking agents could not book the room to guest and suggested that the agent actually intentionally "hung up" on me as they are not permitted to book a room. I have to admit that this was the worst customer service that I have received at any Hilton establishment. I drove maybe 2 miles and immediately booked a room at a Hyatt where "Lexie" was more than willing to accommodate me and my family. This is extremely disappointing. Further, the policy that she cited is not on Hilton's website or the website. I do not foresee traveling to Mishawaka in the future, but I will be sure to remove Hilton establishment from my preferred hotels on my Concur travel profile. Memories of poor customer service never go away.
