Honestly worse stay we’ve ever had at Hilton property, uncomfortable beds, terrible customer service, broken doors in rooms. Just overall do not recommend anyone to stay here more than a night at the most.
Not up to Hilton standards and won't be back

We have stayed at this Homewood Suites Hotel multiple times in the past 4 years, each stay lasting a week to three weeks in length. Previous stays had been much more pleasant. Our room this time was very run down and not very clean. The couch had a large stain on it and one of the cushions was ripped. When we mentioned this upon checking in to the staff at the front desk we were given extra sheets and towels to cover up the problem areas. No one ever came down to see or try to actually "fix" the problem. Also one of the large drawers was broken and could not be used. Kind of inconvenient for a long stay like ours. We have stayed at a lot of hotels and I do not ever remember noticing how clean or dirty the windows were. But our windows were filthy, inside and out. It was difficult and gross to look out of them. We were on the first floor, so it would not have been hard to clean the outside windows. The lighting in the room was also a problem. Every fixture was so dim that it was very hard to see. We had to turn on all the lights in order to do anything. During our first night, at around 2 AM an extremely loud fire alarm went off for several minutes. Then we could hear it going off elsewhere in the building for quite a while after. This was a very unpleasant and recurring problem, as it happened several more times during our stay!!! No one apologized or explained what was going on. We had to call the front desk, who just said they were having some problems with the alarm and were working on it. Our room also had a strange vent located above the refrigerator. I don't remember this type of vent in any of the other rooms we stayed. But we could hear people talking through this vent as if it were an intercom. Late one night there was a loud party with blasting music in the room across the hall which was connected to this vent. It was so loud it sounded like the party was in our room. Of minor issue - the breakfast was a constant disappointment of soggy undercooked sausage, eggs and potatoes. On a positive note ... the hotel staff were friendly and tried to be helpful. Unfortunately, there were too many negatives during our stay that we do not plan to return to this hotel any time soon.

While traveling for business or leisure, I highly recommend this Hilton property. Easy in & out access and parking near a major thoroughfare, major tourist attractions, and conveniently located to shopping!
Good combination of suites, location, price

We like Homewood Suites 1 bedroom suites, and have stayed in their other properties (like La Quinta). The bedroom is separated from the living room by an actual sliding door, which is nice. Also, the A/C is relatively quiet and the flatscreens are of higher quality and with great movie selections, compared to many hotels. This property is smaller than their nearby Hotel Circle location. It’s in the same Mission Valley but located east of the 163 (very close to Westfield Mission Valley) instead of the larger property west of the 163 (which is closer to Old Town).

1. I stated from outset I would require (after a week) a 2nd room INTERCONNECTING. The first room was not so, despite months of emailing. 2. I asked for a baby crib: not provided. 3. I was lead to believe housekeeping provided once/week after 7th day, but it was from outset. 4. Terrible quality breakfast compared to other Homewoods I have stayed at. 5. No recognition of Diamond Honors membership besides… water!!! This was one of the worst stays I have experienced, so depressing. I had to go after 4 nights instead of 34 nights….
