Clean room but scary renters

We often stay at Econo Lodges because their prices are usually reasonable. This room was clean and the beds comfortable. However, we accidentally "stumbled" upon the long term renters parking area, and they were NOT happy about it. We quickly saw our mistake but not before two of the renters became quite hostile and threatening. This was a very dirty area with heavy cigarette smoke. Due to covid, the continental breakfast left much to be desired. No variety, no coffee creamer, very weak orange juice (watery). Staff was nice to us. Except for the long term renters greatly scaring my daughter in law, it was an ok stay,
Great room great price great staff

Stay far, far away from this place... So I arrived and went to my room. NO MICROWAVE. Go to use the phone to ask them why?, Big big hair ball on the phone. Then pick up phone, not working, never worked. I look around in my room and place is filthy. Looked like some one walked on the walls, there was mold in the bathroom, floors were dirty. I went to the front ask about microwave and she said "it's the luck of the draw, some have them others don't." I ask for some cleaning product's . I clean the whole room. The 2 towels and wash cloth were black. I was unable to get the mold out of the tub,so I requested some bleach. She gave me a large cup. That night I pulled back the top very thin, thin as a sheet, only to find no sheet no blanket. The heater was at 85.. but felt like 70. Now I'm sleeping in a cold room, no sheet no blanket. I was so tired I just layed down . I'm giving this place a 1 because the staff was nice. The lady gave me cleaning supplies and the guy the next morning gave me a blanket. I Even had to clean the fridge. I told the lady she needed to fire the housekeeping and maintainace. Wow this place was so terrible.. They do not deserve a 2.7. I think that the people who gave them 5 stars are paid to do so. No way they deserve it.
Great customer service, not so great facilities

We were enroute to a family reunion and arrived at 3AM. Just needed a place to lay down and catch a couple hours of sleep. Surprisingly, the clerk was awake and very attentive to us. We got a decent rate but when we opened the door to the room, I was getting an uneasy feeling about it. The sheetrock looked like it had a big hole punched into it and someone with NO experience had fixed it. The wall had "waves" where the sheetrock had either gotten wet or had not been nailed to the studs. The refrigerator's door appeared as no one had cleaned it for about a month or two. The bathroom door had a screw sticking out of it near the bottom. (yes, a screw) and the mirror on the bathroom door had the holders, but no mirror, and you could see where the mirror used to be. Upon stepping into the shower, you could tell there was NO support on the bottom as the fiberglass bathtub felt like it was fixing to spit and drop you do the floor. There were only sheets on the bed (no blanket/compforter), the A/C was blowing cold bug also was leaking on the carpet next to it (which I found out by stepping into the wet spot on the rub with my sock feet (YUCK) and last but not least, just inside the entry door was a trash can with a roach lying on it's back with one leg just a twitching. Now for the good - We walked into the room and there was no blanket/comforter on the bed so a quick trip back to the office and the clerk went out of his way to get us blankets. The TV acted like it wasn't going to work and the clerk offered to change it out so I wiggled some wires and it began to work (worked the rest of our time there) When we checked out the next morning (another good point is checkout is @ 11AM) we noticed the carrier for the room cards had been used and we got a "reused" one..guess you have to give a lil credit for being "frugal" and "recycling"! :) overall, I give this hotel a 1.5 and the 1 point is for the helpful clerk. whomever they have cleaning this place needs to be sent on down the road!!

We started in room 206 and the air conditioning was terrible. So we moved to room 219. Such a major difference in air conditioning. The beds were clean, but pillows are seriously flat. Age is definitely shown on this hotel. It’s not the best and cleanest, but it is affordable for a short stay. (No bugs!) Breakfast was great; sausage patties, eggs & gravy.
