Too Small for Two People

I wish Choice Hotels would brand their properties from Most Basic to Most Amenities, and which ones of their numerous brands might be more upscale than the others. I never can figure out their prerequisites for how each property is branded. Is a Comfort Inn nicer than a Quality Inn? Is a Quality Inn nicer than a Sleep Inn? If there is no difference, why so many brands? Certainly can't tell by price. In small Missoula, Montana, one would expect a lot more from a hotel room than what we got for $132/night, plus $13 tax. First, putting two senior citizens and a dog in a room clearly designed for a single traveler is a major mistake on someone's part. There was only one chair, causing one of the guests to either stand or sit on the bed. Second, the shower was tiny in a very tiny toilet/shower area. Third, it is inconvenient when you are traveling with a pet to be given a room on an upper floor, which was also as far as you could possibly be from the elevator. Again, someone is not paying attention. Fourth, it is almost expected nowadays that a room (especially one priced at $132/night) have a small refrigerator and maybe a microwave; although I do not see how these items could have possibly fit into this cubicle of a room. Fifth, the young ladies at the desk were nice, but not really cut out to run a hotel. When I turned in the Comment Card, one of them asked what it was. When I told her, her response was a gleeful, "I've never seen one of these before!" as if it were a special treat bestowed upon her, and not something she was even trained to deal with.
Old style Sleep Inn - a favorite.

I've been here several times as I cruise through Missoula on an annual trip, but I couldn't believe the price in August (I usually go through in late September). It looks like the entire city is pretty pricey this time of the year and it was crowded!! Still, we managed a burger at the Missoula Club and chicken at the Double Front. The motel is the older style Sleep Inn with a shower. It has a very nice pool area and a great hot breakfast. It's on the south end of town, but close enough to Starbucks, Costco and REI. It now has a refrigerator with a freezer compartment - worked well. Beds were comfortable, pillows soft and the AC allowed for a good night's sleep. Lots of places to plug in electronic devices and the WiFi was excellent. Staff was friendly (especially that in the kitchen) and helpful. Love the receptacle for recycling near the front door.
Basic but nice

Very nice lady at front desk, was helpful for recommending places to eat. Hotel is clean. Nice, but basic rooms. Morning breakfast adequate but basic. Worked for a safe, clean room and place to stay. We
Small but clean rooms with decent bed

The staff and hotel were nice enough but be advised the rooms are tiny with not much space for luggage if you are on a long trip. The bed is comfortable enough but only queen sized not king. It is clean IT is located in a business district with lots of fast food and family type restaurants nearby. The price is better than a lot of other chain motels but this one does not reach the standards of the Sleep Inn we stayed in in Spokane a couple of days ago. All in all it's okay but not what you'd call a pleasant surprise.
Improperly billed for missing towels
Reviewed 13 january, 2021
Cecked into the hotel and they had only one set of towels. Most hotels always have at least 2 mostly three. Nothing remarkable about hotel. staff not rude but not friendly. When I returned home I find out the hotel billed me for missing towels. When I finally go ahold of the General Manager she said tough. Our cleaning reported missing towels so you are being billed. Don't expect Choice hotels to be of any help.
