More about the hotel
Best place on I65 service rd
I stayed last month in this hotel. This used to be old hotel but recently they remodel the place and its look much nicer then past. Also, the rooms are clean and staff were super friendly. It is next to interstate so for me it is so convenient.
Don’t do it. Your safety is at risk.
They are in the middle of renovations. I have two stars because the employees behind the front desk were nice and helpful. But, when we went to our room the door wouldn’t even lock and could easily be pushed open. There was an obvious leak above the door and even though the room was re-done the floors looked like they weren’t even cleaned and were sticky. Even the window wouldn’t lock and just had a small piece of wood lodged in there to keep it closed. I understand that the hotel was cheap to stay in but one thing I will never tolerate is putting my safety in jeopardy. But the ladies behind the desk were able to cancel my reservation and I just ended up going to the la Quinta next door and had a great experience.
A nightmare!
Where do I begin! The staff was amazing, very nice however the hotel was disgusting. There is an abandoned hotel attached to this one so I could barely find it. After checking in I was instructed to pull around back and it was at that moment I knew I made a huge mistake! There was trash all in the parking lot a tore up love seat just randomly there as if it was on the side of the road! The indoor pool that is pictured is deserted and in a shamble! I finally made it to my room after walking around the maze of a layout. There were very sketchy looking people standing outside there rooms and the smell of weed all throughout the property. The trash cans were overflowing, old furniture randomly placed outside. It was a mess! I asked to change rooms because my neighbors was hanging outside of my door and I could see what kind of night that would bring. I was then moved to a room that was not clean. It looked as if they changed the sheets put out fresh towels and left. I hate to complain and I sure did not want to give the precious front desk clerk a hard time she was trying her best. So I stayed about 3 am we had someone try to enter our room due to the room change not being made in their system again very sketchy people. It was honestly like nothing I've ever seen. If you want to do drugs and find a prostitute this is definitely your spot however PLEASE do not choose this property for ANY OTHER REASON. And please do not bring your family.
Worse hotel experience ever
I checked in and this is what I walked into room 245. 🤮 not only was my 1st room like this but the room upgrade was just as bad. With someone’s dry flaky skin and hair on the sheets but a cockroach in their suit. I asked for a refund and was told it would take a few days. I called the next day to speak with the manager or property own. Since they are independently own managers or property owns can make the refund faster. Well after 22 phone calls to Wyndham hotels I was only able to get though to the actual front desk was I told I would be give a call back from the manager who was at the bank at 9:20am. After no one answering at 10:20am I called the customer care for Wyndham and was told to wait a few hours since there could be a high volume or checkouts. Well 3:20 rolls around and never got any call or contact from the manager or owner I call customer care and end up finding out the 1st customer care agent didn’t even make a claim so finally the new agent to do so and she ended up calling the location and was to the the manager had already called and talked to me. Wrong i never got a call from anyone from this days inn. What a joke and a bunch of liars. If that were the case why would I have called at 3:20? I’m sitting here at 7:25pm and not a manager has called so my advice is stay clear of the hell hole. Unless you want to scurvy or some type of staff infection. Never be a gust at the it’s gusting dilapidated place. They maybe renovating but not the staff and that is where customer service or guest service starts. Score of 1-10 I give it a -100. The management takes no ownership of there bad service or there disgusting experience.
Do NOT stay here
I was interviewing for a residency position at the hospital in Mobile when I stayed at this hotel. I had two nights booked and have always had good luck with Wyndham hotels, but am shocked that Wyndham allows their names to be put on this place. On arrival, there’s a Days Inn/Super8 sign in the parking lot, but the hotel actually says Ashbury Hotel on the building (red flag #1). Go in and the guy says it’s Days Inn, and then offers to show me the room before he gives me the keys (red flag #2). I go see the room with him, it’s an outdoor entrance like a motel and it’s very run down looking. Glancing at the actual room, it’s clearly old but I didn’t look closely enough to see the other issues. Once I checked in to the room, I see muddy footprints on the floor. The ironing board looks like someone was murdered on it. Counters and sink are dirty. There’s a dirty washcloth hanging in the shower, and the toilet bowl does not look clean. Lamps, fridge, chair, desk, etc were all very rusted. I asked to be moved to another room and they obliged. Room number 2 is still noticeably dirty on the countertops, sink, and toilet. The beds appear clean at first but found out later than one of the two beds only had a sheet and no comforter. The desk chair had peeling leather all over it. Coffee pot looked stained with dried stuff all in it. Toilet paper holder was ripped off the wall. The AC unit had one temperature: cold. We had it set to 80 and still couldn’t get any heat to come out. The smoke detector was covered in Kleenex’s and then wrapped in masking tape as if someone was smoking in the room before us. Additionally, the pool is filled with 2 feet of the brownest swamp water you could imagine, and the breakfast appears to have been cooked last week. This place is a nightmare. I cancelled my second night but they wouldn’t refund the first night so I toughed that night out.
