I had a reservation there for June 19, 2021. I was going there with family including child from Knoxville, TN. It happened to be that the Tropical Storm Claudette was moving north/northeast squarely on our path towards NC/TN at the very same moment when we were to drive from Knoxville to Mobile. We decided to go west instead and requested to cancel the reservation and a refund. According to Priceline - the hotel authority declined - they expected us to be in the path of the damage and destruction of the tropical storm all the way to Mobile, AL. I emailed them and they did not have the courage or decency to even respond and explain what they would do in my situation. Clearly this is NOT a good place to be both in terms of management and front office. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Not staying here again

So, booked a 12th floor king suite for a Fri/Sat night stay. Was unpleasantly surprised to find there was no refrigerator or safe in the room on arrival. Was told it was due to renovations. Was offered a double on another floor (after already unpacking) so declined that. Wasn't offered a discount of any kind. The sofa, if it could be called that, was not wide enough for two to sit on comfortably... and no, neither of us are big. And for anyone slightly paranoid, you might want to take the stairs... all the annual lift inspection certificates were out of date by nearly 2 months. Best that can be said is it was close to downtown restaurants and bars, and relatively easy to get to.
Went for a mini vacation. Nice central place to stay.

Well cleaned for covid. Staff very helpful. Hotel will be much better after covid lets them get on with the renovation's. They have stuff stored all over. And the upper floor lounge was closed. But even with all that it was a pleasant stay. So will be much better when all the work is done.
Was unpleasantly surprised

All i can say is it was nasty. Stains on the carpet, stains on the furniture, and hair in the bath tub. I thought since the price was high for a Holiday Inn, it must be good. Nope!!! I was grossed out. Never again. If it hadn't been so late checking in and leaving so early, i would have left and found a new hotel. Only positive was the towels were clean and smelled good.

Have spent a couple of nights in this hotel. Close by to Mobile port (very important for my job) and near (walk distance) to several restaurants and bars. Typical Holiday Inn hotel though. Nothing extraordinary. Quiet, with nice bed and very good internet coverage.
