Quiet location, very pleasant staff.
The hotel is located on the outskirts of Modica and easily accessible set back from a main road coming from Catania/Syracuse direction. The 19th century building has been tastefully renovated but keeps its traditional characteristics in layout and furnishing. Breakfast is served in a small room in the main building and is fresh and varied. We ate outside looking out over a field of ripening barley. Free wi-fi worked well. Sadly, the pool was still being prepared for the summer and not available and the restaurant was closed too. The pool and gardens are very quiet and attractively laid out. The young people running the hotel were delightful. Nothing was too much trouble.
wonderful afternoon of Chocolate making
we spent an amazing afternoon learning about the history of chocolate and specifically chocolate of Modica. Francesca and Martina were amazing hosts and made it a very enjoyable afternoon for my daughter as well. The chocolates made by Casa Ciomod are delicious and the flavours enticing! we sampled the various flavours and made our own bars with our choice of flavours. a wonderful experience! Grazie!
Very tastfull restaurant
We had pleasure with the served food in the restaurant. Unfortunately not open all weeldays during the winter season . We had an excellent degustation menu at Christmas. Will return soon becausethe quality is optimum.
Good service
First place we visited in Sicily that the managers were very welcoming. The food was great and the setting was surprisingly relaxing. The pool was a nice diversion for kids, but the lifeguard is not very attentive (on his phone 75%of the time). Location was easy access to Modica, Ragusa, Scicli and beach
fun, relaxation, and gastronomy
An evening at Ciomod has met our every need after a long field trip to visit the small food producers in Ragusa. Friendly summery atmosphere, rich and diverse menu, and the ambiance was simply fantastic!
