Nice Hotel
The FerroHotel is a Little away from the town centre but is a very nice find. Modern in design and very comfortable as well as a good range of food at breakfast. Don’t be put off with being close to the station as there were no night movements of trains so nice and quiet.
Unexpectedly good
As other reviewers we could have missed this hotel as it really is tucked away and is a good 10 minute walk from the centre of this lovely town. Top marks to the friendly helpful staff at reception ( less so at breakfast but in fairness we didn’t need them ) Rooms large, clean and modern lay stylish. Lovely bathrooms. Only thing missing was an outdoor seating area unless we missed it as the bar doubled up as a breakfast room
Nice hotel a short walk from the centre
Comfortable rooms, quality linens and a huge choice at breakfast. Not easy to find - more signs would be helpful as even local people don’t k ow where it is. Helpful staff when asked. Quiet and nice to see decommissioned buildings given a new lease of life.
Worth a Stay
The Ferro hotel is a hidden gem. You literally can’t see it from the roadway. It is obscured by a retaining wall and you think you are going up someone’s driveway to get there. Having said that, it is a recently renovated modern hotel. Rooms are clean and spacious. Plenty of receptacles for charging devices. Breakfast is free and well endowed. The only negative is a lack of a restaurant and bar, however, it is only a five minute walk to the center of town where there are numerous choices of restaurants.
A Gem! Top Marks!
This hotel should be rated 5 Stars! The front staff were the friendliest I've seen! We were caught cycling in the rain and arrived cold and soaking wet. They were quick to offer us a coffee to help warm us up! The rooms are spacious and stylish. I took pictures of the decor to show my friend who is an interior designer! It's walking distance to the town centre. The breakfast was amazing! I would definitely recommend this hotel and give it 5 Stars!
