Non c'è due senza tre
I had such a riveting experience the last couple of times I was here that I decided to give it another try. Basically, it's the same layout from the last times, with a few upgrades here and there, including the wellness centre as was mentioned by another customer. The staff is the same, they remembered us and gave us a warm welcome. My friends and myself included didn't see that coming, so it was a nice touch. The slopes are perfect for beginners like us, so you don't have to worry if you're not Adam Malysz material. While we were indoors, it was a good service overall and it had a comforting, holidays vibe to it. The rooms are neat and tidy, so no complaints about that. Another winter break at the Bucaneve hotel, another sense of making the most out of it, so no regrets whatsoever. Be sure not to miss it
Lovely Traditional Alpine Hotel Overworked Staff
We stayed at The Bucaneve Hotel as an adult family group, celebrating a birthday occasion in January, for a week. The hotel itself had been tastefully refurbished since our last visit over 10 years ago and the addition of a pool and Wellness centre was an excellent addition. The open fires and candlelight all added to the ambience. Our superior room was alright but could have been better for the price and we did not get the balcony we had booked. The bar was well stocked but the staff lacked a friendly smile. Initially the waiters in the dining area were very friendly and welcoming but as the week went on they lost their sparkle probably due to dealing with so many tourists and being overworked doing 7days a week. The female maitre de was often brusk and patronising while trying to portray a false sense of joy. Nicola the pianist floated from being over enthusiastic to bordering on rude. So yes there are a few negatives but there are many positives. One last point refresh your dinner menu it lacked quality when trying to execute some imaginative dishes. Locality was good service could be improved.
Definitely an improvement
Well, I decided to spend my winter break at the Bucaneve hotel once more. I had previously been here a couple of years ago and I was pleased. The staff is basically the same but it's a 3 star hotel now. I can really say it's an improvement, there are better conditions than there used to be. The ski resort from nearby is just as entertaining so if you're a decent skier, you can have a blast. All in all, I enjoyed my second time here and I will hopefully return next winter. The whole place's got a nice vibe to it and a certain traditionality that you cand experience at a relatively decent cost
Between town and slopes
This small hotel is positioned near the main road and within the aprox. same distance to Moena and Passo san Pelegrino ski resort. Owners are nice and helpful. Rooms are very small and basically furnished. Bathrooms are well equiped and new. Breakfast is self served and offers all sorts of food (jam, honey, cheese, cakes...) but nothing cooked (like eggs, sausages...). The meals are avarage. Wifi is payable.
Nice experience
I checked in at the Bucaneve hotel in Moena on the 10th of February and stayed for a week. We were a group of 5 and I have to say that all of us really enjoyed our time spent there and we were very pleased with the overall conditions at the Bucaneve Hotel. The rooms had a nice aspect, clean, a nice view from the balcony and the general services were great and the food itself, not mentioning the staff that was always at our disposal and the young and enthusiastic owners of the hotel who always looked after us and making sure we were alright and had everything we needed. Basically, we just wanted to go skiing and have a good time in Italy and I have to say that all the folks at the Bucaneve Hotel had a large part in making our trip to be an amazing one. I strongly recommend to everyone to try if you find yourselves in the area, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
