One night stay in a twin room.

Reviewed 27 february, 2020

The room was spacious and the bathroom too. It was warm and cosy and newly renovated. The beds were great! The breakfast room was so cold thar we were freezing while eating breakfast, but the food was good.

Pretty shocking

Room was not very clean. Toilet does not flush properly. Cleaning staff only emptied my bin in a 4 night stay, they never even made the beds or changed the towels. Internet on the second floor was almost constantly cutting off. This was a cheap hotel, but jesus, i paid to much !

Beware the talking LIFT!!!

Reviewed 5 february, 2015

A 2 night stay and cleaner knocked and tried to get into my room at 9.30am on 1st day. On leaving room at 11am the cleaner was outside but the room wasn't cleaned by the time I got back early evening. My room was situated beside the lift and there were constant loud talking, chimes and telephone rings all night to well past 4.30am which made for an uncomfortable sleepless night with hotel not manned after 10pm. And the maid came again at 9.40am, then 10.20am and 10.45am by which time I reminded her that check out was 12pm so still no rest even after lift stopped talking... Despite advising the hotel that I was not happy at getting a continually disturbed sleep by the taking lift he apologised and said that he didn't know what had happened as it was continually switched to emergency call. He then tried to charge full amount to which I advised him that I was not prepared to pay in full after the sleepless night I had. He refunded a paltry 15 euros so I was not a happy bunny after this fiasco.

Visiting a village beer festival

Reviewed 8 july, 2013

What a great find! This hotel has very recently had a change of owners. The new guys are making renovations to the building/fixtures/fittings which if they match to their excellent service, will be the top place to stay in Monchengladbach. The service here cannot be faulted, from the warm welcome (in English, on account of our poor/lazy language skills), the arranging of taxis (for our trip to the local village festival in Dulken) to the heartfelt thanks and good wishes at our departure.....and everything in-between. Whilst the rooms were in need of an update/refresh, the beds were comfortable and spotlessly clean. In a quiet area of the town but just a 5 minute walk to the bus & train station. I wish these guys the very best with this new venture. They certainly have the hosting skills required.

Good hotel, shame about the location.

Reviewed 30 july, 2012

For the price of the rooms it was no surprise that they were a bit dated, however they were very clean and the price of the mini bar was very reasonable, also has free Wifi. The breakfast was very nice, lots of choice. As we were arriving after 6pm we had to call for a code to allow us into the hotel as no staff would be there!. This was a bit strange for the size of the hotel and although there was a tel number to call in emergencies, if you needed help with something non urgent, such as an extra pillow, what would you do? We did not know about the underground car park and only stumbled across it on our way back from our meal, which was a McDonalds as the choice of restaurants was very limited. The area in which the hotel is located is not very good and a few drunks in the park close by were a bit un nerving. In smmary we would not stay at the hotel again due to the location, however it is ony this that would stop us as all other aspects of the stay was very good.
