Hotel F1 are very basic, used by travelling workmen and students, so not for the faint hearted. But this one is terrible. I'd forgotten I'd been there before and the officious manager demands to see your identity papers, but the room we were first allocated was terrible. On the ground floor, the room had upwards of 30cm of rising damp, the skirting board was coming away and the wall covered with mildew. A florescent tube needed replacing and the TV didn't work. After complaining we were allocated another room but were told we couldn't have a PIN code for the room so had to take it in shifts in going out of the room. Although better the sink was marked by cigarette burns and the outflow repaired by brown plastic parcel tape. The decor was really tired, the carpets in the corridors were stained and needed replacing or at least steam cleaning, the grounds to the rear needed a visit from a mower. It's a shame as it is convenient for the motorway and in a nice rural setting.

Despite our room being non-smoking there was a very strong smell of cigarettes and body odour! The room was a little dirty: cobwebs under the table, the look of damp on the wall. BUT the price was unbeatable, the staff were friendly, our dog was welcome and we slept very well. For a cheap stop over it's perfect!

In spite of constant heavy noise from construction next door and the fact that the place looked old and well used, I still liked it and would return.

Hôtel insalubre à l'hygiène déplorable: Tâches d'excréments sur les murs, odeurs nauséabondes, aucune ventilation l'air conditionnée hors service, bruit constant et personnel désagréable. Il est préférable de dormir dehors plutôt que de rester dans un tel établissement.

Habitues des F1, nous ne pensions pas tomber là dessus... Nous y avons passé une seule nuit qui s’est résumée à très peu de sommeil a cause de personnes qui mettent la musique forte en ouvrant les fenêtres à plus de 22h, et chante a tue-tête. La literie est vraiment fatiguée, si bien qu’on sent plus la plaque en bois sous le matelas que le matelas lui-même. Le ménage n’est pas fait correctement : il y avait de la poussière et des toiles d’araignée sur les plinthes. Dans les couloirs la moquette est toute tachée. Les installations sanitaires sont très vieilles et donnent pas envie de les utiliser. Nous tirons notre chapeau aux personnes qui ont le courage de bosser dans cet endroit.
