Dinner
This was the worst restaurant I’ve ever eaten in , tonight myself and my family dined at the restaurant at this hotel , we ordered our food , the waiter was a lovely friendly guy . When the food arrived it was horrendous, I ordered lasagne which came in 2 small squares with 6 sheets of pasta with nothing between them , no sauce or meat and stone cold !!! 2 others ordered carbonara which was exceptionally small and also stone cold , another ordered a medium cooked steak which was not edible because that too was cold and very undercooked and smoother in a terrible herb sauce . When we complained about the lasagne they said that what did I think lasagne was and that I had eaten the meat and sauce from it . The lovely waiter was no longer the nice polite guy who served us instead became a little agitated as did another member of staff who then cane to the table with my plate of food and asked what my problem was and again accusing me of eating the meat and sauce from between each of the 6 layers of pasta !!!! The bill came to €94 which was shocking as the food was appalling and not edible and the staffs manner left a lot to be desired . We paid in full against our better judgement and so as not to cause an argument or scene , never have I been spoken to or treated so badly by restaurant staff . Avoid at all costs
Have not seen anything like this before
So we went to this hotel for only one night and it all seemed great when we checked in, but this changed quickly. First of all the hotel advertises that is has a very nice swimming pool so we asked if we could swim, because it seemed closed. But this was not possible you needed to rent a bathrobe and flip flops in order to enter the pool, to rent this it was 10 Euro’s. so we said well we have flip flops of our own and a bathrobe, but we needed to rent it anyway. Kind of b.s. if you ask me. Then we wanted to have WiFi, so we asked again at the reception, but you needed to pay for this as well. This is ridiculous if you ask me. And don’t get me started about breakfast. You would be as fulfilled if you did not eat at all.
Eating in Montecatino Terrme
The Food was pretty good, the water was good, and it was a nice place. Forgetting, as we do, we found that the shops were shutting for lunch-time. So, we decided to have something to eat and this place looked cosy. I was in search of Tuscan Bean soup, but had Minestrone instead. And Jacquie had brassaola carpaccio. Both lovely. So it was a well spent few hours.
Family Hotel with a very nice touch
You really feel wellcome when you arrive to this hotell. good service is their sign. The family is there every day and really want the guests to have a nice time . The restaurant is super with a lot of Italian dishes. We like this place very much.
Unforgettable experience
I was staying in a hotel with group, visiting Tuscany. Hotel has a very good location. In my opinion, rooms are well cleaned , towels changed every day. You will not find shower gels or shampoo in a bathroom , only soap. There is a hair dryer as well. Bathroom is pretty small but I do not see any reason to complain about that. Room was nice, we had a large balcony, with good view. Now about what is not so good. At the moment we arrived , lady at reception immediately informed us that - it is not allowed to sit in a hotel garden if you are not ordering anything - you have to pay EUR 10 deposit for a remote control, after you check out they will return deposit back - if you would like to have internet connection you have to pay (for 2 hours price is 2 EUR, for 5 hours price is 3 EUR and so on..) This did not feel like a warm welcoming at all J But the worst of all was a breakfast, so poor and embarrassment for any 4 star hotel. There was one sort of ham and one sort of cheese , bread that was so stiffed like it was at least 3 days old , I could not eat it. They put reservation tag on our table for our group to know where to sit and they left us plate with fresh croissants at the table. If it was not enough , you don’t get more. Breakfast was a real shock for me. Ok, Hotel can say your agency paid only for such poor breakfast, but did the agency paid for empty plates and stiffed old bread?? We always have to ask them to fulfill plates , waiting next to empty tables, for them to bring food. Waiting and waiting…and the best of all – in the same restaurant, few meters away I saw that they are serving warm breakfast- like eggs ( that are so expensive ) and I went in that direction ..suddenly, one of waiters pull curtain in front of me, enabling me to get to there and there was a note at that curtain “PRIVATE” J J So, I left empty handed… I think I said enough for travelers to decide. Just one more observation I have. At first I was also shocked reading answers made by Hotel to a customer reviews. Don’t be lazy to read it. Never saw such impoliteness and unprofessionalism, but when you think about it , it completes all picture about hotel and staff , and saying about hotel more than any passenger review ever did.
