CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE
Our first Wyndham Hotel in Monterey was booked, so Super 8 Wyndham was our other option for a reasonable price. Super 8 was very clean and bed was comfortable and AC worked well. I recommend this place if a couple is driving through and needed a place to rest for the night. We had dinner at Old Fisherman's Grotto in Fisherman's Wharf and if you don't mind waiting for over an hour 1/2, the food and service will not disappoint and cost is reasonable as well.
9 out 10 not bad from my perspective
I wrote a review regarding my stay at the Super8 in Monterey, CA. In it I noted that the room was nice ,clean and in good proximity to the sites in Monterey. It came up a 9.0 out of 10 rating on booking.com. One of the questions was there anything that I disliked. I had asked their Superintendent on duty for a monthly rate to stay while our home was getting ready by mid Oct. He gave us a ridiculous quote and we walked away. Now he blows up my phone with a minute thirty message complaining that I did not give a perfect 10 rating and it's ok if we never come back to stay there. This only confirmed to us that we gave an accurate review. All the other staff members were very nice and accommodating.
Outstanding Super 8!
I've stayed at Super 8 properties many times over the years. This property, by far, is the best I've ever stayed at! Very clean and quaint! Well located in the Monterey area. Close to the 101 and easy to get to. No issues with parking as some of the other properties here are. Front desk was very knowledgeable on local attractions and gave great directions on each place I asked about. And they are very friendly!

Stay at the Super 8. We weren't disappointed in the value and service. Front desk managers were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Property is a short drive to walking paths, shopping, the beach and the wharf. Bike trail to downtown Monterey and Seaside is located in front of the motel.
Good price for Monterey, basic accomodations
The room was average at best, but the price was good for Monterey. Bathroom design was bizarre. Breakfast was meager and sitting space was inadequate. Cost was $64/night, about what the room was worth.
