was not exceptionally clean as advertised.
The staff at the hotel was great. The bed was comfortable and the room was a nice size; however, I was quite disappointed how the room was advertised as "exceptionally clean." I am by no means a neat freak but this room was far from being clean. The toilet and sink were clean in the bathroom but the floor was not. Also the carpet in the corner of the room and around the heater/air conditioner had not been vacuumed in quite some time. Got ready to take a shower and there was not a shower curtain hanging. Not a very good experience.
Excellent staff
I want to rave about Darius from the front desk. He was helpful, polite, and easy to work with when we had to change our reservation. There wasn't anyone in the staff that didn't help us in the 5 days we stayed. Had an un-fixable problem with one room. They handled it fast and got us into another room asap. The staff was also super Covid ready. The bed was wonderful. WiFi was slow but Hurricane Zeta was coming into town.
Family Visit
Excellent customer service by desk clerk and general manager. Outstanding!!! The hotel was clean and attractive and excellent location for easy access. The price was also reasonable. Very nice hotel and nice people.
Real nice place!
Late (9:00PM) check-in; nice clerk. VERY nice room, all amenities, although I couldn't figure out how to get to the "program menu" On The TV, but I'm an old geezer, so... not a big deal. About 9:30, another guest opened my door because clerk had erroneously activated their key to my room. But they were embarrassed, I was okay with the whole deal. Within a few minutes, got a call from front desk with what sounded like very sincere and contrite apologies. I said "No big deal." That was the ONLY "glitch" in the stay. Again, clean, comfortable room. Pool closed. (COVID) No hot breakfast, although equipped for it, but during COVID, got a pretty nice bag of "to-go" muffins, water, snack bar and apple. No coffee downstairs, but had two cups in room beforehand. Would go back.
Good value Montgomery Stay
This hotel is in a good location just off the Interstate 85 and just a 10 minute drive from Downtown Montgomery. We had a king room, with a super comfortable bed, good bathroom (with upscale toiletries), free WiFi and flat screen TV. The breakfast was good with several hot options and warm cinnamon rolls. The staff at reception and at breakfast were super friendly and helpful!
