Great location
This is a very nice clean and well appointed hotel and all of the staff were very friendly. The main point of the review though is to say that although on a map, the hotel appears to be away from the centre, it actually isn't. It's a short, very pleasant walk until you are in the heart of Montpellier and the hotel is directly opposite the Saint Clément aqueduct which is really spectacular.
Excellent hospitality!
Very clean and lovely staff. Breakfast was good too, though I had to ask for milk alternatives, as they are not provided as a matter of fact. I was also impressed by the amount of help I got from the reception staff. Overall, a great stay!
Hotel tres jolie
We had a wonderful time at des Arceaux. The building seems to be quite old but it is completely restyled. Our room was very comfortable and the service was very nice. The hotel location is convenient since there is no much noise around and you can walk to the old city centre in about 10 or 15 minutes. If you come by car, all the area around the hotel is charged. However, the hotel can offer you a parking.
Would not stay again
We booked here because it was near the centre of Montpellier and was opposite the aqueduct. We had booked one of the hotel's car parking spaces before we arrived so when we did arrive the awesome guy on reception told us where we needed to go park. We also checked in early too which was great. The guys took our bags up to our room while we parked the car. We had booked a classic double room which was tiny to say the least. The bathroom was modern but the towel rail was positioned next to the toilet which we thought it was terrible idea. A word of warning the walls are paper thin!!!! The room didn't come with a safe which was disappointing. At around 3.30am a couple came back from their night out. Woke us up on their way up stairs and then proceeded to have intercourse very loudly twice in a row. I can say that it is the worst night sleep I have had in a very long time. The staff are excellent and super helpful but the hotel itself was a total let down.
Nice hotel
I had a really nice stay at this hotel. The hotel staff was friendly and gave lots of suggestions. The only downside is that, since rooms are quite small, it is a bit noisy in the sense that you can hear when people are entering to the rooms next door, even the sound when someone opens or closes the door. I would suggest changing the hotel keys with electronic cards.
