Delta Hotels by Marriott Montreal

Understand we are in the middle of a pandemic but this Marriott property did little to nothing to make my stay a pleasant one. As a top tier member I was offered nothing regarding food or beverage (except water). I was even charged for a soda from their pantry which I usually get for free in their lounge. How cheap and ‘nickel and diming’ is that? I will think twice when next in Montreal regarding where I will stay. This hotel will NOT be at the top of my list.

Room service was amazing! Due to Covid-19 and the recent return of room service, was reluctant to order breakfast. What a wonderful surprise when the food arrived! Presentation, quantity and quality were all exceptional for an extremely reasonable price. Highly recommend. Staff was highly motivated to please throughout our stay.

The Delta has many positives: the location - right in Montreal center - walkable to Old Montreal, shops, McGill (2 mins), great restaurants - it is ideal. I drove to Montreal - so I appreciated both the on-property parking and the valet option. Montreal itself seems to have permanent road construction so being able to avail of the valet parking was a great help. We didn't have dinner at the hotel but we certainly had breakfasts. The club lounge is very calm with a wonderful concierge who suggested just the right red wine for me to relax - an organic, sulfur-free Canadian red that was delicious! In fact, she even put a note under my door the night before we left with the exact information about this wine so that I could try and get some supplies of it on my return to the US. Because the club lounge is small - guests are directed to the main restaurant for breakfasts and there was an expansive buffet, with omelettes on demand. The service was lovely, the coffee was great - not the usual 'blah' hotel carafe coffee that can be found in most places. The Delta has a nice, albeit small, gift shop across from the Reception desk. In all the visits we've made - I've found the rooms clean and spacious, the service attentive, the food great and the location unbeatable! My removal of one star was just because I think the general lobby ]could do with a refresh in lighting and carpeting. We'll definitely stay here every time we're in town as there's no need to go anywhere else!

As universities closed, we travelled to Montreal to pick up our child. An unexpected trip during an uncertain time. The staff at the Delta were kind, sympathetic and helpful. Our room was perfect. All amenities in the hotel were closed and staff were apologetic, but of course this was completely understandable. Hotel restaurants were thankfully open which was great as we did not want to venture out. No buffets, and guests were well spaced throughout the restaurant. Thank you Delta. The calm professionalism of your staff is appreciated!

Overall hotel super clean really enjoyed the amenities such as the pool and gym. The continental breakfast was good though unfortunately they ran out of some food items and it took 10 minutes to replenish. Overall really nice hotel.
