The bedding was ok and the room was clean but a lot of things need fixing in this hotel. I would have graded average if it was not for the wildly ill-mannered person working at the reception in the mornings we stayed at the hotel: We called on two occasion, each time in the morning and we got the same person. We complained about our bed and the other time we asked for information. Each time the person was rude and not helpful whatsoever. This person should NOT work at reception. Also the backdoor (Porte 3) is broken and any individual can get into the hotel with no security (camera, people) checking on it. Not very safe in that side of the city.

Do not go to this hotel. I booked this hotel for 3 nights. I left after two nights because I couldn't stand it. First, when I entered the first room, I felt like dying from the dust. I am allergic to dust and I felt suffocated from my entry. I couldn't breathe. Everything was dusty in that room. You couldn't see outside the room from how dirty the window was. The bedding was disgusting too and there was a buzzing sound. I went to the receptionist to change the room. And she got me another room. This new room was better it had the AC turned out but still, there was dust everywhere. Then it was time to sleep and that's when I realized that there is a loud noise coming from the AC, freezer and a general buzz that we couldnt figure out the source. Also we found an insect on bed. I asked the receptionist to change the room. After being told that all hotels have those noises, we were given a quieter room. This new room had a lower buzzing sound so we could sleep. The bedding smelled so bad that I had to keep it away from myself. The pillows were horrible. The mattress was ok. Then around midnight, a different kind of noise started (coming from outside the room) but we weren't going to change the rooms again. After two nights we decided to cut our vacation which was ruined due to lack of sleep and go back home. In addition to that, the coffee machine was rusty so we were disgusted to use it. The toiletries were lacking, for 2 people staying there for three nights. And of course, I couldn't forget the sticky evaluator.
One glaring MINUS!

I was in the hotel for 6 days the first 5 very wet in June. The room was a good size with a comfortable bed. Bring your own shower toiletries, what is supplied is minimal and awful. What thei s hotel lacks, especiay a a very wet morning, is somewhere to have a decent breakfast. The onsite eaterie is called Le Toit Rouge . Be prepared when you present yourself at the door for a considerable wait to be seated> On the 2 occasions I went there the very large cafe had very many vacanyt tables but with staff indifferent to waiting patrons. Had you made the right decision, you would have lost patience, walked off and sought food elsewhere. At 09.15 I was presented with an omlette of such leathery texture I would guess it had been sitting in the kitchen since 09.15 the previous day! The omlette allegedly the top dog on the omlette menu contained raw onion, raw red pepper a rubbey tastelee cheese. Ok next day give them a chance with eggs benedict. If your hollaindaise sauce comes out of a bottle at least bring it above fridge temperature. The staff indifferent and slow in a restaurant with less than 10% occupied. On that day I had the temerity to give up wiating at the door and walk into the cafe towards a table. This was the only occassion when a waiter moved with any speed he whizzed over and told me to wait at the door until a table was allocated . After 5 minutes of waiting anotehr wter came to me and guided me to the table I had been heading for originally. have I a good word to say about the place, food or service? No If it is not raining walk out of the hotel and turn right. walk about 5 minutes down the road ther is a parade of shops with a cafe called CORA. Welcoming staff, good breakfast open kitchen where your breakfast is freshly prepared. It is a measure of Le Toit rouge that the Hotel directory does not mention it's existence.

Slow book in, kept us waiting an hour because the room was not ready. This was at 345pm. Bed in the room was broken and this was reported immediately. No one fixed it and no alternative room was offered. Two day stay, room not made up, no clean towels or coffee provided. Terrible service overall.
Best Large Hotel in the area - 3.5 star.

If you need to be in this area (close to the Olympic Stadium), this seems to be the best hotel listed as 4-star. Came in Thursday evening about 7pm. Hotel was supposed to be full but only 1 staff at front desk to handle check-ins, inquiries and phone. Only restaurant in the lobby has spotty operating hours. We had dinner with 6 people and took at least 20 minutes to get our orders taken and perhaps 30 minutes to get our meal. Steak (not cheap) ordered Medium Rare but came in Medium Well, and also very thin. Calamari - our second order added - came under cooked and not crispy like the first. Other food were acceptable. Saturday morning, we wanted breakfast just about 11am. We were told at the door that they are closed - taken out only. Asked where there is another place nearby, and were told to drive about 1.5 km to a Tim Horton's. After we found out there is a CORA - well known restaurant with great breakfast within a short walk on the same street. This is the kind of service you get from this restaurant. The hotel room is normal and as expected. The elevator - the only one available - is super slow. Luckily, we were on the 4th floor (which is actually like the second floor) and there is a direct, open staircase to the lobby. Had good experience with daytime reception desk staff so no complaints there. Did not goto the gym, but was told you can fit 2 people inside. There is a supermarket within walking distance so you can grab some fruits and drinks easily for the hotel room. Would stay there again if I need to be in that neighbourhood. Driving around in Montreal takes twice as long as most cities for the same distance for many reasons so it is important to be closer to where you need to be if you want to save time.
