vile staff, very upsetting stay

I am absolutely shocked and so upset how I was treated. the staff were so rude, nasty and down grading me. I was spoked to like I was nothing, the owner was angry, not welcoming and stormed about the place. said this room water is ok to drink, I was poisoned and so unwell. there was a rat, the staff didn’t give us toilet paper, we weren’t allowed to even use tv. they over charged us, there was no social distancing, no masks and when I asked to put one on she said no. she was also drunk on shift, all the staff are awful. the water that is not for drinking is also used in the bar for people so that’s unacceptable? also there was advertised for golf course but it isn’t there ?

Stayed hear for hen party check in was 3pm staff accomadated us letting us check in early. Rooms were lovely clean and tidy nice bathroom nice breakfast was great many choices staff were pleasant and friendly owner came to ask how our stay was in morning

absolutely shocking, the staff were so so rude to me and my friend. the barmaid (blonde one) on 14th saturday, she was so rude and shouted at me. I then asked for toilet paper and she chucked them at me. the neighbours are loud and rude. also can’t drink tap water also? the cleaner barged in and was rude when I was in the room? I am so shocked I felt upset

Booked as we were going to a family party in Montrose ... Group of 6 and we all had an excellent time, rooms were great,bathroom beautiful 😍 breakfast was excellent .staff were really friendly ..nothing was too much hastle,, as for the bar it was excellent .. locals were friendly, drinks were good and very reasonable prices ..all in all, excellent hotel with excellent staff and excellent breakfast (cooked to order) Would not hesitate to go back and would recommend to anyone Well done star hotel and many many thanks X

Very nice bar

Spent an hour in here on Boxing Day while waiting on the bus back home. Friendly place and they provided entertainment by way of a fire alarm where we all had to vacte the bar for a few minutes. Was just getting into my Glayva and pint as well ! Thankfully it was a false alarm.
