Great renovation of a classic
We enjoyed two rooms at Hotel Morgan. It is the best combination of new and classic. The renovation of the public spaces is beautiful and I'm sure the Hotel will host many weddings and other events. The rooms are retro-modern and CLEAN. Loved the little touches like the classic mini-fridge, the wine cooler, plugs near the nightstands, local and WVU student newspapers, double shades, fun furniture, and great beds. Valet parking was quick. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Fantastic option in Morgantown!
I should caveat by saying I haven’t stayed elsewhere in Morgantown. That said, my husband and I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Morgan. The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms are hip, with updated amenities (like a great shower!) and great views, and the first floor bar whips up a great drink. There’s valet if you need it and fresh coffee in the lobby even if you have an early departure like we did. Lastly, the hotel is situated right in the middle of town so you can ditch the car and walk to great bars and restaurants! Highly recommend staying at Hotel Morgan when you are in town!
What a great rehab!
An old gal d nicely redone. The staff, guest rooms, and ambience are marvelous. Everyone was extremely polite and pleasant. The rooms are spacious and pleasantly redone. Great fitness room, nice bar, and good coffee in the morning! Cannot beat the location.
Loved Hotel Morgan
The newly renovated Hotel Morgan is hands down the best hotel in Morgantown. The entry is beautiful with magnificent views of the 1920s ballroom. The rooms are nicely appointed and beds and linens are comfortable. The bar downstairs served fabulous and inventive drinks. A great place to unwind. I highly recommend.
Two night stay
Heard about renovated Hotel Morgan and even though it was a bit more expensive ( least ex rate was $99/night), we decided to try it. First good things: all staff were truly nice and professional. Good location in downtown. Room was clean and bed and Pillows were comfortable. Check out was easy, just call the desk. Now what I would like to see improved: maid did not clean our room even though we were out most of the day, no ice container, no in room safe or coffee, shower dripped more than sprayed and some grout sprinkled the floor. All could be improved with too much trouble. Two big things however were more troublesome, first $12/day to park your own car across street( not told this) and finally heat/ac unit was an add on and it looked like it was built in over old radiator ( could not see that, just a guess). Very loud. I don’t believe the heat/ac could be fixed. Next time will stick with the slick and newer $79/night motels.
