Clean, mean, and better not seen.

There are many pretty, characterful properties in and around Morzine; this isn't one of them! To be fair, it is clean, and located an easy walk from the Pleney or Super Morzine lifts. It is possible to ski back to the hotel from the Pleney area when there is sufficient snow cover. The positive aspects of the the hotel are quickly outweighed by the negatives. The location is good but sat on a busy road, the road-noise is significant even with the shutters closed. The food is plentiful but heavy and lacking vegetables; breakfast was machine-made coffee, one tiny croissant or pain chocolate, strange breakfast cereal - although cornflakes did appear on one day, and one batch of scrambled egg that remained lukewarm for up to an hour; the bacon was OK and the sausages the normal exploding rubber euro variety. The bathrooms were small and modern but the sink had no plug and the shower had no shower basket or holder for (your own) toiletries. Rooms were made up every day but we were provided with one microscopic piece of soap and a sachet of shower gel per person - and for our entire three day stay. Upon checkout we were allowed to store our bags in the TV lounge until the evening but upon returning and seeking to get changed we asked for the lights to be turned on but were told there was enough light and we should open the curtains - very helpful! In essence this barely counts as an hotel, the people are friendly but clearly don't like spending money on their property or guests.
Very good functional hotel

We stayed here as a party of 8 adults over new year for four days. The food was really good and the hotel rooms were clean. Two minor points were that we didn’t have a stand up shower (I didn’t mind not having one but this is something to be aware of if you like showers) and secondly there isn’t the normal coffee/cake available post skiing! These are not complaints as everything was really good, they’re just two things that are different to other hotels I’ve stayed in. Would definitely go back. Friendly, clean and excellent food in a decent location. Recommended.
Long ski weekend

Positive: excellent dinners and pleasant, attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. Location ok. 10 mins walk to Pleney lift / bus stop for Prodains. Parking available. We stayed half board and the portions were large at dinner and promptly served. Also very tasty. Three and four course. No choice though (apart from the wine). My son wasn’t too keen on the strong cheese and tartiflette so felt left out. I was very happy.
Negative: room (and hotel generally) could do with a refurb. No info. on facilities on arrival, no info. In room. One power socket for a twin room on 2019! Lift broken. Shower head in bathroom broken. Tiny shower gel sachets not very useful or easy to open with wet hands. We were on the first floor directly onto the stairwell... which meant we were disturbed by every single up and down journey and accompanying conversation by every resident in the hotel. No cooked option for breakfast. But a decent spread in any case.

Le Concorde could be a lovely, homely welcoming place to stay within easy reach of the Pleney bubble and you can ski off Piste B to the hotel (or walk down a slight slope if later in the season).
However, the hotel is in dire need of significant tlc. The carpets are worn and in places positively dangerous, the rooms are a bit cramped with well used furniture, a really hard bed (I’m 5’7” and my feet hung over the end) and a bath for midgets. The ski boot room was simply a room in the basement, no heating, nowhere to sit, nowhere to rack your skis and boots although there is a lift to all floors.
Breakfast at €10 was basic continental fare although plenty of it. We did not dine in as there are loads of extremely good places to eat out in Morzine.
On a positive note the reception we received was very friendly and the staff were really lovely and at least the rooms were clean.
Ideal ski weekend location

We booked fairly last minute as my husband and I wanted a reasonably priced get away to the slopes for a long weekend. The hotel is a great little find for just that, clean, simple and has all the basic facilities you require. It is a bit dated, but has an authentic feel to it. A 5 minute walk to the tourist info which is situated in the heart of the town. Staff are really friendly and helpful, the breakfast is basic but suited us perfectly - croissants, toast, fruit, yoghurt etc.
I’d highly recommend if you are looking for simple and no frills.
