Nice to stay.
Room size is fairly comfortable which is beyond expectation. But I needed extra heater to make myself warm as built-in heating was not enough. Reception desk is helpful. I got usual problem with power plug adapter but the reception lent me a charger. Breakfast was good enough for half-day survival.
Broomcloset
I booked a singleroom with Trip.com and got an old small room, looked like a broomcloset. The attached bathroom was spacious and ok. The biggest problem of this old hotel is very noisy meaning your hear your neighbours snorring at night. Receptionstaff is friendly but its to old and to noisy.
Great location, great staff
This hotel was a brilliant location for our first visit to Moscow. Restaurants in abundance right nearby and just a 15 minute walk to Red Square. 5 mins to the Metro station. The staff were very friendly and pro-active. WiFi was very good in the room. Tea, coffee and toiletries were replenished each day along with a new bottle each of complimentary water which was really appreciated. The service of the cleaners was excellent. Having an on-site restaurant was very handy and we used this on the final evening. If there was one very small mention, it would be that some extra items for breakfast such as cut fruit or sultanas/nuts to put with the porridge or yogurt would have been appreciated and perhaps alternating fried eggs with scrambled eggs. But those are the only comments I can think of for this otherwise great little hotel. If we return to Moscow, we would most definitely stay here again.
Pleasant Stay
Overall Feedback: Loved the place and would visit again. They are very thoughtful as they pro-actively arranged a lovely complimentary champagne with some fresh fruits for my husband's birthday. The staff was extremely sweet and I will recommend this place for a nice comfortable stay. Pros: 1. Excellent Location 2. Professional and Warm Staff 3. Good food 4. Clean and Comfortable Room 5. Overall a very good experience 6. Free Wi-Fi Cons: 1. Need to have thick blinders/curtains - we visited Moscow during 'White Nights' - the sunset was around 10:30 and sunrise around 3:30 so we could experience a lot of outside brightness in our room - difficult to sleep unless one is comfortable using eye mask. 2. Breakfast options were very limited. 3. There was this weird noise while using the taps/shower in the washroom - can easily wake a person sleeping in the room when the other is using the shower or sink
Central, good quality
My second stay here, in the exact same spacious attick room as last time. Heard from a colleague that not all rooms are so roomy. Anyhow, another excellent experience. Free wifi, hair dryer, flat screen tv, coffee/tea making facilities, safe. Standart breakfast. Parking. The location is perfect and central. 10-15 mincwalk from the Red Square, endless choice of restaurants in the area.
