We’ll Be Back!
Opinión escrita el 29 de Julio de 2021
Perfect for our family! We booked a studio suite for us (king bed, 2 adults) and also a 2-BR suite (2 adults,2 children). From check-n to check-out, the 5-night stay was seamless. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was always visible and had plenty of extras, as needed. There was no “Residence Inn Mix” with no explanation, but we were eating out. PLENTY of nice restaurants within a mile and it’s only 3 miles to Isle of Palms.
Breakfast was served under the watchful eye of Miss Shirley, who handled everything by herself and did a fine job of making sure we got everything we needed. (My 8-year-old grandson thought she was his special friend because she made sure he always had an extra chocolate muffin). Little things like that make for good family vacation memories.
We will be returning to this Residence Inn in early August - wouldn’t stay anywhere else!
Glad I am not a resident

My brother in law was at Wild Dunes on IOP for four days, so we motored down friday pm for an overnight, and this property is well located just prior to the Isle of Palm connector. It is hidden back in a parking area off the highway and is a little hard to find but tons of stores (grocery), and restaurants within easy walking distance. No one at front desk when we tried to check in, plus no one at front desk when we stopped by front desk to collect items needed for the room. The young lady would disappear 5-10 minutes at a time, and no one at the front desk. Very disturbing from guest services or more importantly from a guest security perspective. Room was okay, it is a suite even if a small one, AC didnt work so had to open windows, and we spent 30,000 marriott/bonvoy points for this. Charleston hotels can get pricey, but there are certainly closer and better choices than this one. This property needs a cleaning, refresh, and total review of staff top to bottom, and I might return...otherwise keep driving.

Stopped here for a quick night before starting a week at the beach. Family of four. Stayed in a King suite. Advertises 100 sq ft balcony—none. Advertises seating for four—only two. No linens for the pullout—had to call to ask. Again, it’s fine but might have preferred another Marriott property downtown for a quick night.
Pleasant stay, convenient location

I stayed one night on the way through the area, but this would be a great hotel for a longer stay, perhaps with a family. The rooms are large, well-equipped (like all residence inns) and the staff are friendly and helpful. Gym with some older equipment and small pool, lots of free parking. Fast wif. Coffee in the room. Generally a good price, with quick access to Sullivans Island and the Charleston proper.

We wanted to visit Charleston but not stay in a downtown location. Mt. Pleasant is a short drive from Charleston over the beautiful Arthur P. Avenal bridge (no toll).
the hotel is part of a shopping / restaurant district, so you won't go hungry. The hotel is not serving it's normal breakfast due to covid, but they are giving water and grab and go breakfasts. The staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel good about being there.
