Very clean and well maintained

Reviewed 15 february, 2020

Friendly staff and good food at the restaurant which is also well priced. The pool is usually shaded by trees but the area is well maintained. The same goes for the rooms as the daily cleaning service is excellent. Easy access to nearby markets and shops.

Again... great visit!

My second time in this place. It’s basic, it’s clean and calm, has a nice big pool and it’s family run. I still recommend this small hotel to anyone who loves this special Thai touch and is on a budget. Will certainly come back again.

old fashion style

old fashion style hotel close by north gate and songtaew terminal. you can find night food market at walking distance, they have also restaurant inside the hotel while other restaurants are a bit more far. pool was very clean and garden is well maintained, with squirrels running by the trees in a pleasant environment. friendly staff and rooms clean and comfortable at good value, i recommend.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS EXCUSE OF A HOTEL. The hotel was recommended to me by friends who had stayed 2yrs ago saying it was wonderful. My experience has been a huge let down. (1) Hotel states you can use a safety deposit box for free with 24hr access. The receptionist told me there wasn't one. I asked to speak with manager and was told she was asleep (it was 6pm). I politely insisted I needed to speak with her as all my holiday cash needed to be secured, she eventually came after 15mins and let me know she was angry. She took 10mins to store my cash because she forgot the code and then stared me out agresivley when I thanked her. (2) I asked for an iron to tidy my clothes and was told there wasn't one by receptionist. I asked to speak to the manager who looked at me like I was being very demanding and told me I could borrow one but I had to bring it straight back. I have never experienced such hostility for such a simple request in any hotel before. (3) At breakfast I asked for just fruit. (There was NO choice, only bacon egg and toast). I waited 20mins by which time my friends had finished theirs. Nothing came so I had to go looking for staff and was told "no" -so I didn't even get any breakfast! (4) the Aircon was unreliable. I had to get my friend to come over and get it working twice because I knew it would be a waste of time asking staff. (5) The shower head didn't mount the wall properly so I had to hold it and hose myself down. (6) The pool was murky with leaves in so could not use. Overall a very disappointing stay.

What has happened to this place???!!!

My sister and I visited this very quaint hotel just 2 years ago and we loved every minute of being here. What a difference 2 years makes!! Although the hotel itself is still the same members of the staff are not!! Some members of staff have been particularly rude and arrogant. A first we thought they were having an 'off' day but their rudeness continued. On this occasion a friend has come here on our recommendation and she asks to use an iron. At first she was told no they don't have one then she was met with a horrified look and the woman marched off to get the only iron in the hotel, we know this because she told us in no uncertain terms!! and also it MUST be returned as soon as you've used it!! The hotel has a swimming pool last time it was inviting and there were many other guests sat around it and using it. This time the water was green and covered in leaves. It clearly has had no maintainance fit some time. On arrival we asked about their advertised security deposit boxes. We found out it is a safe in the managers office. We had to put our valuables in a sealed envelope we completed a form and a copy of the form was attached to the envelope... we were sort of OK with this....but the envelope was just left behind the reception counter!!! so we asked to see the envelope being put into the safe. The reception girl phoned the manager who stormed up to reception snatched the envelope and threw it into the safe... she turned and said 'there it's on the safe now' she was clearly not happy at being disturbed!!! This morning (our last morning) our friend asked for fruit for breakfast rather than a small cooked breakfast but again she was met with the NO word!!!! In themselves each incident seems trivial but when every day you are met with rudeness, arrogance, uncooperativeness and just sheer disinterest in the interest of their 'paying guests!' It's only saving grace was the evening meals..... They were delicious..clearly the chef/cook has pride in their work unlike We will not be returning to what we once thought was a lovely charming haven!!
