We stayed at the Hotel Prinz in October, as we couldn’t praise the place enough. The staff we beyond friendly, always happy to help and offer suggestions on the location and Munich as a city. We have family in Munich so know the city pretty well, but even for us they helped us discover some hidden gems. We stayed for our wedding anniversary and booked a premium room, and whilst yes, people are correct to state no WiFi, there were plenty of windows in the room to allow a good breeze and altogether we found our room to be spacious and comfortable! Again thank you so much to everyone at the hotel, and I’m sure we will visit you again.

We visited Munich for Oktoberfest and stayed at this hotel for three nights. The room itself was spacious with a modern bathroom. The beds however were very low to the floor which wasn’t an issue but would deter to customers with back problems. The hotel advertises with pictures of the city centre but it is located out of the centre and is a walk to most sights and shops/restaurants without many transport options. Visiting as a couple when walking back at night the street and area seemed uneasy and meant we decided to get taxis home every other evening. Would recommend the hotel to people who know Munich a bit better but first time goers would maybe be better off closer to the centre.

Stayed for three nights! Location very good for beer festival! Rooms very dark and outdated needs a massive refurbishment! Very warm inside dread to think what they are like in summer? Had to sleep with Windows open and so noisy outside! Small bar and Restaurant!
Ok but wouldn’t me my automatic first choice if I were to return to Munich

Comfortable hotel and very quiet. Situated in residential area 10-15 minutes walk to nearest railway and underground station - no shops or restaurants nearby. I was a bit puzzled that my large room appeared to have no air conditioning or heating. On the first night the room was very hot but ok the second night when I opened the large sliding window. I was a single occupant of a double room but the bed only had a light single duvet. Being 6’2” I didn’t feel very snug under the covers. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room especially as being a smallish hotel there was no room service menu. I was a bit taken back that having decided to take breakfast in the hotel on the second morning of my stay I was charged €17 for just a fairly limited choice from the cold buffet - I may have been mistaken but I didn’t even see a toaster. I know that Munich has a reputation as being an expensive city but I didn’t think that the Hotel Prinz offered very good value as it was no better than what I would expect from a U.K. budget hotel for less than half the cost.
The most basic hotel ever !

Very old hotel with no AC, room is tiny with three chairs?? Bathroom just a square size big... I honestly don’t get where are these good reviews from!!!!???? One more thing, price is not cheap also, and claiming as 4 stars... never million years!
