Horrible Service - Worst Marriott Ever

Booked through Capital One Rewards several days in advance for a repeat stay here, as our son lives close by. Upon arrival, front desk clerk couldn’t find our reservation. Not sure if it was a Capital One issue or an issue with this property, but the customer service was pathetic. No apology for inconvenience. No effort to assist in researching or rectifying the issue. No reassurance that they had rooms available, even though the place was basically empty. And after this stay, it’s easy to see why it was empty. Front desk associate had a horrible attitude and a matter-of-fact response “you have no reservation”. Lobby bathroom was also out of soap and paper towels. Lobby area had water leaks that were never repaired… could be mold issues there. The room was also dated and in extremely rough condition. Marks, stains, and damage on most walls. Stains on the comforter. Bathroom was clearly caulked over and over again in a sloppy way. Spend $20 more and book somewhere else, even if it means a longer drive. This place should lose its Marriott flag for quality, cleanliness and horrible customer service. As a former Marriott property employee and someone who prefers the brand, this is literally the worst I’ve ever been to.

Theft from Employee. GM was dismissive. Tried to cover for staff. I tracked the stolen AirPods and watched them travel back and forth to the hotel. GM said she asked staff if they had them. They said no. She told me case closed!! I pursued. When someone finally confessed, GM charged me shipping to return recovered AirPods. Once received, they weren’t even the right ones! No apology. GM made me feel bad for pursuing the theft by letting me know that she had to work extra now because she was short handed due to my complaint. Corporate gave me 3,000 points to make it better with no follow up to commitment for security. Does 3,000 points even get me a bag of chips from the lobby??

I stayed here one night for business in the Moon Twp area. The views of the Ohio River from KY room were probably the best thing about the stay. I got there early to check in, as I usually do at many Marriott properties and it’s never been a problem, unless they’re fully booked, but the guy checking me in immediately told me “check in is at 3PM!” I explained that I knew this, but it’s never been a problem, if there are rooms available. About this time a lady, very pleasant and friendly came up and told him to check me in. She looked at my account and then proceeded to do all the things he didn’t do (acknowledge my loyalty, etc). Incidentally I had occasion to ask her for toothpaste the next day and she was extremely as professional, polite, and helpful! The room was moderately clean, yet in need of updating and refreshing. There were black, long hairs all over the ceiling in the bathroom and on one of the bedside tables. The wallpaper was peeling from the walls, there were patched cracks in the ceiling. It just needed to be refurbished! The outside of the building really needs to be repaired and repainted, it looks deserted. The bed was decent and comfy and I got a nice sleep. The TV and remote worked well, so did the WiFi. Overall, it wasn’t a bad stay, but I’ll stay closer to my meeting location on the next trip.

I stay at hotels a lot and they have two ladies that are fantastic. Sasha and Patricia were as good as I have seen customer service for their customers. These two seemed to be there 24 hours a day doing everything from check in to doing breakfast/ vacuuming and doing great customer service. Great team.

Worst Hotel I have ever experienced

The moment I pulled into the hotel, the property was unkempt. The outside was gross and unattended to. This was just the beginning. I got to my room and it seemed like nobody had cleaned it in weeks. There was dust on all surfaces/pictures frames and across my AC unit: there was MOLD SPOTS on my AC unit as well. There was dirty pillow cases including two blood stains on a pillow case. The bathroom floor was dirty and cracked. Overall, it was uncomfortable to even lay in the room and sleep here overnight. My Coworker also had an entire spider web in the corner of his room. I immediately came home the following day and showered, cleaned my clothes and travel bags. I do not plan on making a reservation at this hotel ever again. By far the worst experience I’ve had traveling.
