Very friendly both on the phone and in person. Clean updated room.
Stayed at Red Roof four times in a 6-week period. The employees were always friendly and helpful, the rooms clean and updated, refurbishing the halls, inside corridors, coffee in the lobby in the am. Very nice about the cat.
Zero masks by management and staff.
Room was large and on the ground floor, as we had requested. There was a sign on the front door that masks were required to enter. The front desk clerk was behind a Plexiglas shield and we didn't see anyone else the first evening. As we were leaving on Saturday morning we noticed that the manager & another man that appeared to be the maintenance manager (lots of keys) were walking in the lobby and then behind the front counter were not wearing masks. We also noticed one of the cleaning staff in the hallway, dressed in denim jeans and also without face covering. We left to attend a family wedding and returned after dark and encountered no other staff or guests. As we were checking out, we asked about the lack of compliance and were told that the local government had changed and eliminated the mask requirement. The clerk said that they should remove the sign as masks were now optional. They removed the sign as we drove away. We have stayed at this facility many times over a span of more that twenty years without problems. With the Pandemic situation, this was our first overnight trip and other hotels on our journey were scrupulously enforcing masking requirements. We will no longer be using Red Roof facilities.
Just an overnight stay
Stopped in for an overnight stay on our return trip driving from Orlando to Chicago. The prices was decent the rooms appeared to be fairly recently renovated and were clean. Both the tub and sink dripped all night and the refrigerator didn’t seem to be working at all. We did notify the front desk of these points as we checked out. The continental breakfast was fresh but very little selection. All in all it was clean and decent for the price but probably will choose another option next time.
Newly updated but no elevator.
Checked in for two nights while in TN for a wedding. Check in was super fast and easy. Staff was very friendly. Room was super clean and looked newly renovated. Breakfast area was kept clean. My only complaint is that there was no elevator and carrying heavy luggage up stairs is not my idea of a good time. I would definitely stay here again but will request a room on the 1st floor.
Room was clean BUT whole place needs work
The whole building needs work. Walls need painting bad, carpet in halls worn out and dirty, mold in shower where granite meets tub, workmanship leaves a lot to be desired. Until 11:30 at night, people were running around and slamming doors. I asked the front desk to look into it and they did nothing. Too bad that this is becoming average for rooms under $120.
