Lovely Stay

Reviewed 17 september, 2021

We stayed at the Tali-Ayer in July for 8 nights on out holiday to Nairn. It is a beautiful B&B with lovely clean rooms and all the amenities you require. David and Rowena are lovely hosts and make you feel very welcome. Rowena's breakfast's are delicious and you will never leave the table hungry! It is located very close to the train station in Nairn and is also a short walk to many lovely restaurants, the harbour and the beach in Nairn. I would highly recommend staying here on your visit.

We stayed at the tali Ayer for four nights in July and had a lovely time. David and rowena were most welcoming and their home is absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and all cooked fresh to order. Our room was stunning with all of the home comforts we needed. Will definitely be returning

The Very Best of B&B

Reviewed 16 july, 2021

Just back from a wonderful 4 days in Narin at this trully outstanding B&B .From first arriving to be met by David the host I knew my husband and I were going to have a wonderful stay .Our room No 2 at the front was even better than the pictures spotless massive super comfy and every possible luxury needed ..And with everything shops, restaurants and the Beach a 10 min walk and only 3 minutes from the station ( as we travelled by train ) we were happy to have left the car at home we did not miss it at all . Also with a great choice of eateries all within walking distance.Although would recommended booking ahead for certain ones as they are very busy this time of year ...We visited the Classroom, The Auroua Italian, Royal Bengal Indian (don't be fooled by the takeaway entrance ) the Restaurant is at the other side and serves trully delishous food . Rowena David chief executive ( in his own words ) makes the most amazing breakfast her scrambled eggs are the best I've tasted and the Porridge and fresh fruit set us up for the day . We both loved the massive shared table and getting to talk to the other guests . David has stories a plenty..Loved hearing about all the house history and his travels. Would 100% recommend Tali Ayer and we most certainly would book again next visit to Nairn .

Great location and beautiful b and b

My wife and I stayed in room 1 for three nights. The room was outstanding, very nice comfortable king bed with a good size bathroom. Dave and his wife were very nice and breakfast was delicious. You ordered your breakfast the night before by choosing your selection on laminated breakfast menu. Place was very clean. Definitely a nice place to stay in Nairn close to restaurants and a 15 minute walk to the waterfront. Highly recommend.

Fabulous!

Reviewed 30 september, 2019

Booked very last minute, about an hour or so before arriving and opted for the £115 a night top floor room. We were apprehensive as we don't normally go for Guest-houses and the 'living in someone's house' bit. However, we were certainly NOT disappointed. The place is spotlessly clean and renovated / decorated to an extremely high standard throughout. Period features in abundance and the host David providing his full narrative as to the history of the family and the place certainly gave us a thorough and fascinating background. Breakfast was plentiful and with many choices offered. We are vegetarian but were not disappointed nor left hungry. The mushrooms cupped in a lettuce leaf with carrot sticks on the side was an odd addition, for breakfast but I cannot fault them for trying. Perhaps keep a few veggie sausages in the freezer for next time? The property is excellently located with restaurants a plenty within walking distance and the beach also not far away. The hosts went above and beyond, when we found that we'd lost my wife's ring. After apparently searching everywhere to no avail I understand that they even emptied and searched the vacuum bag before finding it and posting it back to us. Very, very relieved and very, very pleased. Thank you Rowena & David. For everything! :-)
