Well in 2018 . . .

Reviewed 26 june, 2018

Whatever was wrong with the hotel before has been fixed. I paid B400 for a large air-conditioned room and have no complaints, except that some of the louver windows would not open. TV good. Shower good. Aircon good. Quiet night.

The Worse Hotel I never been

Reviewed 27 march, 2014

The Hotel is decadent, ugly and dirty. We arrived late night and asked for a double room with fun, it was available as was week day and no the hotel was empty. When they realised that was very late to change for us, they said that any cheap rooms weren't available, just air con room. We knew that was not true but decided to stay as we were very tired. The hotel is creepy and rooms looks like a horror movie, with a enormous aircon up to the bed that seems it's going to drop in the bed.

Worst possible hotel in Khorat

This hotel is appearing on the Italian rough guide, but it's a terrible mistake having this hotel on a guide. We arrived there after dinner from Vientiane, and we paid before seeing the room. What a bad choice. We asked for a discount and the owner get pissed off and sent us away after giving us our money back. The guys are really unfriendly and the rooms are terrible. It took them 20 seconds only to open the door. It's plenty of clean hotels with same price around it.

HORRIBLE!

Reviewed 25 november, 2013

We went to this hotel after reading the nice review it had on our guide, but we had to find out we got the wrong one. The nice hotel is called Tokyo Mansion (331 Suranaree Road) and not Tokyo Hotel (256-8 Suranaree Road)! When we arrived there, we were told that the price was 400 Baht for the A/C room, so we went upstairs and found a very simple, dismal big room and the most horrible bathroom I have ever seen in a hotel. We went downstairs and asked the very unfriendly guy at the reception if he could at least give us some discount, given the poor conditions of the place he was offering us. After some discussion he said he wanted us to check out. This was our luck, since he gave us the money back and we invested it in a pleasant stay at the Sansabai Hotel, just across the street.

Think its a copycat!

Reviewed 13 march, 2012

We asked a Tuk-Tuk driver to bring us to the Tokyo Hotel Mansion which gets good reviews, but the driver brought us to this place (without the Mansion in the name). Its probbably a copycat hotel which you see allot in Asia. We didn't pay attension at first so we though we were at the right address so we asked for a room. The very very unfriendly guy at the reception told us the price of a room was 250 Baht and gave us a key. He told us to bring our stuff in the room and check in later and so we did. We stalled al our stuff in the shabby room, relaxed for a while and went to check in later in the evening. At that time the very unfriendly man told us the price of the room we "chose" was 350 Baht! We didn't agree and wanted to pay and then he got angree and we had a little arguement. We even suggested to change to the 250 room we asked for in the first place but suddenly the whole Hotel was fully booked and that wasn't possible (even though it looked like we were the only ones there). It was already to late to look for another hotel so we payed the 350 Baht which still isn't expensive. We left as soon as possible the next morning. Terrible people and bad unclean rooms! Don't go there!
