Long week end in Naples
We flew to Naples on 16 May 19. We got the Alibus from Naples airport into the central station with in the city at a cost of €5 each which I thought was quite reasonable. A 10min wall from the drop off to the street we where staying using google maps bought us to our BnB. At first we could find anything that indicated to us that we were in fact at the BnB. We eventually found our way through a little door on the street after a WhatsApp message to confirm, into the worlds smallest elevator and into a very nicely done BnB Marble floors with a lime/pistachio green theme. A fridge full of water, juice, snacks all for guests to use. The room was perfect not to much inside just what you would expect, double bed, tv, wardrobe hairdryer. Lovely balcony over looking the Main Street, walking distance from some of the most famous pizzeria’s in Italy. The owners are brothers and to be honest couldn’t have been more helpful with recommendations and directions always on the phone in case we needed anything. Breakfast wasn’t what we were used to being British (No bacon and eggs) but it was pleasant enough breads, cakes and snacks but the coffee is very nice and freshly made by the owner. Taxi to the airport cost €22 (fixed rate) and we were at the airport within 9mins. Overall very value for money and if we are in Naples again we will definitely be back.
Very Nice Stay
My wife and I stayed in this B&B from 9th to 16th October. Guido and Giuseppe were very friendly, able to recommend nice places to eat and see, and advise you how to get there. The service in the B&B was excellent, with fresh breads and coffee being provided everyday for breakfast. Yoghurts, cereal and juices were also available along with a selection of biscuits and buns to have with a coffee at another time. Although we didn't use it, a kitchenette was available, so, if you wanted to, you could cook something. Guido and Guiseppe also made the bed everyday and provided fresh towels. The B&B is only a 10-minute walk to Napoli Centrale and Porta Nolana, so the trains and Circumvesuviana are very convenient. Montesanto, for the Cumana, is a slightly longer walk of 30 minutes. If you want to explore the historic heart of Naples, the B&B is well placed being only a few minutes' walk from Via Dei Tribunali. Keep walking up this street and you will get a feel for the real Naples. When my wife and I come back to Naples, we will definitely come back to this B&B.
Clean, central, very helpful manager
This B&B is just 5 -10 minutes walk from central railway station. Unfortunately we did realize this and got a taxi. This was a mistake as driver charged us 15₠ when the meter said 4. The rooms are on the 3rd floor of old block, It is a long climb with a suitcase, but there is a lift which works. The hall of the block was in a poor state of repair. But when one entered the apartment with the rooms they well maintained and decorated. The manager does not live in the apartment. We were late checking in, but he had stayed behind so let us into into the block using the entry phone. The manager was very helpful and informative. The manager did more than was necessary, he found my denture which I had left behind and posted it to England, .
A wonderful 5 night stay
Beautiful home from home accommodation at A Castel Capuano. Fantastic location being just 5 minutes on foot from the railway station & the wonderful old town of Napoli with Via del Tribunali, one of the main old streets in sight of the B&B. A super market was also just across the street. Very handy. Our hosts, Guido & Giuseppe, were very welcoming & a mind of local information on places to see, eat, drink & shop. Great spotlessly clean rooms, with balcony to watch life go by. Excellent breakfast. Would definately stay here again & would recommend this top class B&B to anyone visiting ‘Napoli’. Grazie mille Guido & Giuseppe for making our stay a memorable one.
Such a personal place!
We loved our stay at A Castel Capuano so much! We were welcomed very warmly and got a good explanation of the city with Some very delicious tips to go for dinner (trattoria Nenelle!) Room was super clean and spacious and the private bathroom was right in the hallway. Breakfast was nice with Some pastries, yoghurts and bread. Loved to watch the local life from our balcony The owners really care for their guests and that made us feel very welcome.
