Perfection
My husband and I recently returned from a wonderful trip to Naples and the surrounding coast. We spent 2 nights at Domus Deorum (my husband booked our first night there after seeing the recommendation in the Telegraph) and after spending that night there we immediately decided to spend the last night of our trip in central Naples and booked here immediately. There is not a single thing we could fault with our stay. It was truly special. Massimo and his team go far above and beyond. From the glass of prosecco on arrival to the fabulous breakfast trolley delivered to your room in the morning. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds and linen are of top quality and comfort. The location is central for trains/metros/walking. We hope to return to Naples and if we do we will without question stay here. It also seemed to be as well equipped for cool weather as for the hot summer weather (air conditioners in all rooms as well as radiators). We also booked a pick up to and from the airport with Massimo. Very reasonably priced and reliable. It was a pleasure to stay here and added to the enjoyment of our trip. It really is a haven of peace and calm in this very busy city.
Fun, Italian, Foody, Lovely - Napoli!
We spent three days at Domus Deorum De Luxe in Napoli, and loved each sleep and each breakfast and all the help received from the owners and staff. The rooms have slightly offbeat or funky decorations and lighting. Initially worried about the noise from the street, it all seemed to shut off at 22:00 nightly, and it was easy to sleep. Staff brought in a full massive breakfast each morning. It was a five minute walk to the main rail station, so it was easy get get to Herculaneum and Pompeii. The hotel is only abut 10-15 minutes from Tribunii street, the centre of the pizza universe. We walked there each night to try more and different pizzas - many amongst the best in the world.
Six-Star Service
If you are looking for a posh, boring hotel in Naples, that one is not for you. But if you are looking for a boutique hotel, 7 minutes walk from the train station and, most importantly, with owners who really care about their guests' wellbeing, then Domus Deorum is the place. Angela and Massimo, the couple owners, were extremely gracious and helpful, beyond compare (and we do travel a lot). We thought perhaps because it is low season, but I don't think so. They are natural. Do you want to get the direction to the remote museum? No problem and, by the way, if Massimo is there and available, he will drop you in his Fiat Cinquecento. Do you need to plan a 2-days trip to Pompeii and Amalfi Coast? No problem. For a very reasonable fee, the hotel and Massimo can provide a driven tour so you don't have to worry about driving. Etc etc etc
Diamond in the rough
Firstly I have to say this is a lovely b&b clean, tidy and located well from airport and train station..the owners tried hard to make sure we were comfortable during our stay..but the only down sides to this premises is there is no bar just a shelf with a few drinks at reception & the area where it is located...we arrived at night and went for a walk around the area, it is very run down with rubbish built up around the streets with bins overflowing..I thought it would be better in the morning but it wasn't and there were groups of lads hanging about which was pretty intimidating as well...I don't usually write reviews, especially when this b&b was so nice, but I wish someone had warned us before we went as it pretty much ruined our stay in naples.
Great service, lovely rooms
Top quality service, the airport transfer was great and reasonably priced, the room was lovely with a comfortable bed and breakfast was amazing! Only thing is the area isn't the nicest and also lacks nightlife, but it is convenient for commuting as the Garibaldi train station only 5 mins away. Great stay overall - thank you Massimo and team!
