We visited l Olimpo degli Dei for 1 night and were very pleased it was for 1 night only. Location is good, convenient for visiting Naples .However, it is in a very run down building. The lift looks like it hasnt been serviced in years. Our room was ok , dark with dingy lighting . Bathroom was appalling - no toilet seat. The tooth brush holder /glass was filthy so could not be used. The main shower head was not working so we were recommended to use only the smaller shower head. Vanity unit half broken . Plastic sheet on mattress. Cheap lien. It is clear that everything has been done on the cheap and general standard is awful. Would never use it however cheap the room is.

Accommodations are perfectly adequate and location is centrally located. The receptionist that checked us in was very kind and helpful. Our main complaint was that we were locked into our floor, trying to get out for 45 min. There is a door to the first floor that is used by all guests of that floor. Upon check-in we were told casually not to lock it. It was around 8pm and we decided to go out for dinner and realized that we couldn’t get out. We also realize we were not provided any emergency contact numbers for staff and after knocking on all the doors, we are the only people on the floor. The key holes on the inside of the door are taped up. I go to the vacant reception desk to use the phone and dial the hotel number on the business card. I’m greeted by a man who only speaks Italian and repeats to call back tomorrow morning at 8am when they open. We called a few more times to communicate our situation. Later the phone rings and it’s another hotel employee saying they are sending someone to unlock the door. I assumed it would be an employee but they had called the only other guests staying on that floor to unlock it because they accidentally locked it in their way out. I think it’s no fault of the guests but rather the hotel. I find it completely unacceptable that guests have the ability to lock the door from the outside thus locking guests in. In fact it’s extremely dangerous and a fire hazard. I also find it unacceptable that there is no contact information for a hotel employee in emergencies. The contact number on the business card needs to be changed to someone more helpful. All in all it was an extremely unfortunate experience in our only night in Naples.

The hotel is perfect for a few days trip in Naples - it's located near the historic district and many sights are within the short walking distance. The stuff was friendly and helpful upon the arrival. We've got a free room upgrade - the room was comfortable, clean and air-conditioned.
Good for short stay

We stayed for one night due to early flight from Naples and this B&B was ok for that. The receptionist was very welcomlng and arranged our airport transfers quickly. The room was small but very clean. We had to miss breakfast as we were leaving before 8am maybe something basic could be arranged for that situation? Overall fine for short stay.
