Omg! The worst hotel ever!

It took 25 minutes to get someone to come to the desk and check me in. On the second night of my stay power was out in most the building. In my room, I could not watch tv, read from my bed as the lamps did not work I did not have any bath towels or access to coffee, tea or creame . I expect better for $200 per night. The staff was stressed, overworked and mostly unkind to the customers. One staff member took our contact info and said we would be renumerated for the night and it would show on our credit cards. It did not happen, and the GM won't call back. Last call I made the lady hung up on me. I called IHG headquarters and reported them. That took over an hour of time to reach soemone who was able to adress the situation, However, they have not followed through as promised by email or by credit card. They are a sham!

I’m generally quite pleased with my choice to stay at any Candlewood Suites. This one was no exception: a downright comfortable place to stay. Great soundproofing, full sized (really) refrigerator, huge dishwasher (and actually a very nice one), excellent bathroom and shower, wall mounted TVs for tons of surface area, USB ports and AC outlets everywhere, huge rooms, comfortable beds, independent no-nonsense climate control for the main area and bedroom, opening windows, decent luggage carts, convenient entryways for luggage carts, and of course the free guest laundry with the fitness room right there. My only real complaints about the room are that the dishes were dirty (loose bits of food on them - clearly not even washed), and the window in the main area didn’t have a screen. Something about how well they do the fundamentals makes me a bit less concerned with those things, though. The dishes should have been clean when we got there - but clean dishes or not, we put them through the dishwasher regardless. I’m sure if we had asked for a window screen, they would have taken care of it, but we didn’t. All of that being said: This is, unfortunately, yet another hotel that for some reason thinks it’s appropriate to have a TV playing in their lobby. While many guests might be fine with it, that certainly doesn’t mean that all guests are fine with having audible content forced upon them as they enter the hotel - and that should never be the assumption. Loud, obnoxious, and often times downright disturbing content playing, 24/7, in the main area of the hotel. Its purpose? Entertaining the paid staff members. I’ve never once seen a guest watching the TV in the lobby of any of these hotels. What would otherwise be a 5 star rating, is now a 1 star rating. Zero tolerance.

Great visit. Hotel was clean and staff was accommodating! Had a meeting in the meeting room and space was adequate. Rooms are spacious and have all the needs for a long term stay. Location is good for avoiding the direct downtown area with all the tourists.
Stay elsewhere! Plenty of other options in the area

Service is the worst I've ever experienced! The hotel appears to be the oldest in this stretch of hotels. The windows are single paned so you'll hear highway noise all night long. The walls and floors are so thin, you'll hear your neighbors too. Maintenance and housekeeping are pretty good, though. Speaking of service - upon my check out day (check out is 11am), I was just finishing packing and housekeeping came by at 10:55am. I told her I was just about to leave, she said ok. At 11:04, 9 mins later, a guy in a soccer jersey bangs on my door. When I opened it, he yells "CHECK OUT WAS AT 11" and storms away. Yes, I was 4 mins past 11am, so my bad, but housekeeping already knew I was leaving. Turns out, he's Josh, the assistant manager. In 30+ years of business travel, I've never been treated this way! Right in a row, there's the Candlewood, a Tru by Hilton, Home2Suites, TownePlace and Woodsprings Suites. Stay in any of the others for a better experience and a newer hotel. Look at the other negative reviews!

mechanical room key didnt work the staff had to come and open the door every time we needed to enter the room. They tried to reprogram our door but that didnt help. The ac thermostat didnt work, and the room didnt get cool. Halls were dirty, and so was the elevator area. Most of the staff wasnt that friendly. After 3 days we checked out and changed hotels for the rest of our stay. Clientele that was staying at the hotel was a little low class. The room it self was clean and had everything you need, but the feeling wasnt good and too many issues...
