Dated and dingy rooms

Room was dark, door and walls had stains everywhere. Bed board torn. Bathtub needs replacement, cigarette burns and not easy to stand on. I must say the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Parking lot full. Staff was friendly and accommodating.

This small quiet hotel was very nice. We had an unexpected trip to Nashville, and being close to payday and the end of the month, I looked for a budget hotel. I booked with Manguson, then after I finished the reason for the trip found many reviews that have awful reviews. I did not find any of the problems listed in those reviews. This hotel is in a quiet off the freeway area. It is close enough to get around downtown and the Opry areas, but without the high price tag. Clean, friendly people, and close to shopping and eateries. Well worth the money, and can save you those extra dollars for to see Nashville.
This is a Quality Inn, no longer the Magnuson Hotel.

I don't know when this hotel changed names as I am not from the Nashville area but did want to clarify this fact as to not cause confusion for others looking for rooms in the area with current reviews. Having said that, this Quality Inn appears to be an older hotel that has seen some updates in the last year or two. Our room was updated and clean. The price was right around $100 for the night and I would say this is the nicest hotel available at the Trinity Lane exit/area heading into Nashville. The breakfast was decent, no complaints there. If I had to complain It would be to say they could do a better job of keeping the hotel property outside a little neater. Looking out your window and down at the ground there was a decent amount of trash/clutter behind the building. Wasn't a deal breaker, but it wouldn't hurt to take care of this matter. In closing, yes I would stay here again.

We did not book in advance, so we found an economy buy near our family that lives here. At 69$ per night, it was just right. Under renovation, was in a bit of disarray. Rooms were clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was sparse and mediocre. I would stay here again, but after the renovation.
Not Enough Bad Adjectives To Describe This Place

For the life of me, I can't understand why there is a single good rating for this dump. We booked last minute via phone with hotels.com and although in the end they did they right thing, they should be ashamed for booking this place to anyone. Had I read the hundreds of pathetic reviews I would have never booked but it was late and rainy and we had been on the road with 2 kids and a dog forever. On the phone the hotels.com guy said it was nice, had nice reviews, in a nice area and comparable to Residence Inn, which is the place I wanted to start with. We drove around the parking lot a few times to wait on some of the scary looking loiters to leave the parking lot before we would even park. My husband went to check us in, the we all went into the lobby. When they saw our dog they stopped us and said they would have to give us a different room because they didn't know about the dog. Hotels.com was told we had a dog. So that took a while to change the room. The lobby smelled moldy and really bad. I was telling my 10 year old to just roll with it and not make a fuss even though I was disgusted. Took all our stuff to the 2nd floor(no luggage racks) on a scary elevator. Couldn't get our door open, my husband had to push and kick like we were a SWAT team breaking down a door. When it opened, the smell of urine almost knocked us down. We stepped into the nastiest room I've ever seen. Huge red stains covered the carpet, it was like a murder scene. Before my daughter could even burst into tears, my husband said, no matter how much money we lose, there is no way we are sleeping in here. I really think this place was a crack house and some of the loiterers were hookers. The clerk could not have been less helpful or concerned and refused to refund us. We RAN to our car and spent another hour looking for a place to stay. After 45 minutes and lots of arguing and finally speaking to a manager, Hotels.com did give us a refund. The next day in the car we were thoroughly entertained by reading the multiple bad reviews on Tripadvisor. Some highlights....."I felt violated"....."I showered with my shoes on, refusing to put my feet on the floor"....."all that was missing was the chalk outline of a dead body" That about sums it up, people. I am NOT a picky traveler, I'm very frugal and I do NOT expect a 5 star hotel to spend one night in. But honestly, I've never seen anything like this place in my life. I'd rather stay in Bates Motel.
