More about the hotel
Don't believe the pictures.
This place is TIRED and uncared for. Maybe in years past it was luxury, but now it's depressing and pretty much uncared for. We paid in advance to spend a week there during a recent basketball tournament, but left after 2 nights to a real 5 star hotel up the street. Our first room was in some inner core lower level, dark, depressing, no closet, no towels, an empty mini fridge. The elevator was broken. There was no one to greet us on arrival to take our bags or any baggage carts to use. We immediately changed to a room down the hallway from the pool area. Once again, dark, depressing, no closet, empty mini fridge and a moldy stench to boot. Most days the toilet wouldn't flush & our "view" was of a decrepit tennis court and of the outdoor ventilation system. They added some decor to try to modernize, but it was like putting lipstick on a pig. The "lock box" was a joke. You could just pick it up and walk away with it and had some lock on it that didn't work. The place hasn't been maintained in what looks like years. I read mixed reviews about the place, but, like others, relied on the photos included...do not make that mistake. The pools were in need of updating, but the view from the ocean side of the hotel & pools were lovely. Breakfast was adequate, but definitely nothing to write home about (and in comparing to the next hotel, Sehrs, up the street.....no comparison whatsoever). People say that it's a good hotel for Brasil standards? Maybe for Brasil standards of a 2-3 star hotel. Do not be fooled. This place is a dump & has not been maintained. All of the families there were disappointed that very few activities were there for kids. The one and only store was closed the whole time we were there. We heard that the hotel is actually about to close. I hope this is the case so some other company can turn it into something beautiful.
Worse service and hotel!! NOT WORTH THE PRICE
I would like to rate this hotel as a 0 star ⭐️. When we first arrived the reception wasn't very nice at all. After we check in the room was horrible, my wife and I were sick, as sooner we got in the room, it was smelling so bad like mould, we found heaps of dust in the room and when we complied to the manager he didn't care and didn't like because we requested to change the room. We tried to find the policy to cancel the booking and they ignored us completely. Never said sorry or tried to find a solution. We were both sick and the allergies just got worse with the mould smelling. We also found mould in the walls. Do not go to this hotel it is the worse place to be. Natal has better places with better prices, this hotel is very priced for what you get.
The pools are great and breakfast OK
This hotel needs " Big ... BIG ... update" is old ... (in Web looks much better ) familiar environment and unsophisticated location: Reasonable but you need a car (taxi) and no free parking Rooms: Bad beds and bad pillows, satisfactory air conditioning , cleaning and room service is ok The worst: free WiFi is very bad ....no shampoo and/or conditioner... and few plug socket ...
Not bad
The hotel location is really good, in front of the sea. A lot of swimming pools for every age. The rooms are not bad, but many families were claiming about not having the remote controls for air conditioned and television. In tripadvisor is saying there is free parking and it's not free anymore (R$ 10,00/day). The breakfast is not amazing, but it's not bad. If you want to spend more time in the north region of Natal and the beaches from north region you will be well located close to the new bridge. If you don't know Natal it's recommended to find a tour guide known by your friends. My recommendation is Paulo (Rodrigo Santoro) he is licensed by Embratur, he is very funny and knows a lot of beaches in Natal even the ones which you won't visit with the biggest tour companies. He's contact is (084) 8851-8297, you can contact him through whatsapp or calling him. If you need help in Natal it's good to know someone who knows good places and good food.
An unpleasant surprise!
This hotel is old and is in urgent need of a complete renovation. Everything is old and run down...roaches and ants in the room! no shampoo and/or conditioner...charging for towels for the pool?? I would not recommend this hotel to anyone!
