Good value, clean and spacious rooms, comfy beds, basic breakfast
Reviewed 29 october, 2021
The 3 night stay here surpassed our expectations. Good value for money, spacious rooms, really comfortable beds. Bathroom was q small but adequate. Front of house staff were v helpful and friendly. Breakfast was basic and not varied but an adequate start to the day. I would certainly recommend this if you are happy to stay out of the city centre. Not so many restaurants nearby except the harvester.

Found the customer service excellent, friendly and helpful. The lady who checked us in was very welcoming, All the staff were very happy to be professional service providers. I felt very at home thanks to this happy team and they should be proud of their hard work to make every guest feel important when entering their establishment. Well done all involved.
Great for a few nights stay

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting the area. Usual HIE rooms all kept spotlessly clean by housekeeping. Comfy bed, pleasant breakfast ......all you need. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Would stay again if in area.
Not dog friendly as advertised

But if a theme looking at other reviews … Booked a dog friendly hotel .. only to get to hotel and made to feel very unwelcome dogs are basically not allowed anywhere in the hotel bar the dog friendly room you book … you can’t even have a drink in the bar with the dog ! We were Offered a seat outside ! The staff were patronising and not helpful - they didn’t even offer to move a seat and a table out of the area … Do not book this hotel if you want dog friendly it is not !
Would not honour booking
Reviewed 4 august, 2021
My colleague made a booking for me and advised reception I was bringing a dog. When I arrived they would not honour the booking, due to dogs. We had followed the instructions on the booking form, as stated by advising hotel in advance, at reception. Duty manager was quite happy to throw a vulnerable person out with nowhere to go. He even gave me the complaint number and told me it would be ignored. The place was full of dogs passing reception. If the staff are happy to not honour a booking and leave you no where to stay, then they should not be in this industry.
