More about the hotel
Excellent location!
Recently stayed here and it was in the centre of nerja town, was a pleasant 10-15 walk to the beach front. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help, the chamber maids were excellent always leaving our room spotless and even folding my clothes up neatly for me! I would definitely been booking up here again in the future!
Great Value Hotel
We have just stayed here for a night and it was great value, nice and clean and with breakfast can not beat it. And as we live in the near village of Torrox it's brilliant for us will recommend to friends and family. Dean
Excellent value for money
We live close to Nerja and regularly enjoy a one or two night short break in the town. We stayed at this hostal a few years ago when it was Scandinavian run and to be honest we weren't over impressed. When we decided a week ago to book a trip for this weekend the places we usually stay at were all fully booked so, as we got a ridiculously cheap deal, risked returning to Hostal San Miguel. We got home an hour ago after an excellent 2 night stay! The property is now Spanish run. Room very spacious with plenty of storage space, a VERY comfortable bed, TV (Spanish channels only), fridge and - unusual for a Spanish run business - a kettle; the en suite bathroom was modern and had piping hot water from the powerful shower. There was a nice little Juliette balcony. The hostal is spotlessly clean throughout with daily maid service in the bedrooms. We had breakfast included in our price but, if you have booked room only, you can buy it on the day for just 4 Euro per person. Breakfast is served from 9.15-10.30 and is a buffet with a surprisingly good selection of cooked meats, cheese, cereals, yoghourts, boiled eggs, breads/toast and the tea/coffee/chocolate/orange juice. Without exception the staff were charming. Rooms at the front of the building face a busy road but those at the rear face a much quieter road so have less problem from traffic noise. We had room 206 which we would definitely request again. We will be back!
Friendly, cheerful family-run hotel
We spent two very enjoyable days at this pleasant and comfortable little hotel. Staff were friendly and efficient, rooms simple and spotlessly clean. Our room had a bonus of a small kitchenette with a fridge, which was useful, and we particularly enjoyed a swim in the pool on the flowery roof terrace. Great value!
Good value for money
We stayed here for a week on bed and breakfast. It is only 10 minute's walk to the beach and the Balcon. There is a large free car park nearby on some rough ground behind the handy Mercadona.supermarket. It has a small pool and a few sunbeds on the roof. The staff were very nice and helpful and the cleaners were good. There is a kettle in the room but no cups!. (Surely they could afford to buy two per room.)The only real negative was that the old AC was too noisy to have on at night so it was too hot, in spite of the ceiling fan. Very cheap so can't really complain overall. Good value for money and decent continental breakfast.
