homecooking, friendly, super clean hotel!
on april 30th after receiving a newsletter from a hotel which we had been to about 3 years ago which is located at the beginning of the bavarian forest and only 15 minutes from the highway exit coming from munich going on to the main road towards the forest, we decided spontaneously to call up and reserve for the next 2 upcoming days. we got a room confirmed and off we drove to this hotel the next day which was the may 1st hoilday in germany. we were greeted just as friendly as 3 years ago. the doubleroom, spacious was still like new (when i can i will put some pictures in from our travels. i am just not the technical genius :-) ). i can assure you though that the room pictures on this hotels website is definately what you get. super clean, modern. okay someone wrote about the small flatscreen tv. look guys...definately big enough to watch tv. their hotels prices are very reasonable. one can cope on "vacation" with a smaller flatscreen that you MAY have at home. wellness treatments are offered. there is a fitnessroom, too. but no swimming pool available but plenty of fresh air and trails to discover in the area. homecooking from the family head "the mom" and dinner is served from the alert, courteous, friendly, young jr. boss by the name of SIMON. still the same friendliness from him and super service as 3 years ago. you get a choice of 3 dinners. fish, meat or menu for vegetarians. salad buffet small but fine especially the delicious homemade potatoe salad and thousand island dressing is a must to eat! a different menu on the next day too is offered. as i had mentioned above this hotel is located at the beginning route of the bavarian forest. the famous crystal glass factory called JOSKA is about an 1/2 hour away. this is worth the trip. also a big restaurant and an exhibit showing how glass is formed into an object. very interesting. other small glass companies are found in neighboring villages too. by the way, from munich about a two hour drive on the highway.
Unexpected treasure!
My stay here was one of my best hotel experiences ever, and certainly the best of our trip. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was great. But innkeepers Elisabeth and her son Simon really made our visit extra special, in many different ways. The cost was extremely reasonable, too!
