No internet, dusty, cold, but the host was very nice
Cons •The cleaning is not very good and is not sanitized as it should be after covid. •Wi-Fi is extremely slow. If you book here, just assume that you won’t have internet access. It took like 5 minutes just to send a WhatsApp. •If you want to see the balloons from the terrace, this is not the right hotel. We had to go to the Cappadocia Inn (in the back of this hotel) to be able to see the balloons in front of us. •The breakfast should be from 8:30 but at that time is when they start preparing the food and cleaning the tables, so in reality, breakfast is from 9:30h. Also, the breakfast room was really cold and the food got cold in just a few minutes. •There was a funny smell in the bathroom from the pipes •The room was very worn out and dusty. Know that with this type of “cave rooms” the dirt is constantly falling from the ceiling and all the surfaces are always dusty. Mostly the bathroom floor was always covered with dirt. The room always smells of dirt and dust, so be careful if you are allergic. •They organized the balloon tour with an agency called ATMOSFER BALLONS and we had a really bad experience, so is better to book with another agency by yourself. Pros •Evrim is a nice person and he answered all my questions really fast. I really appreciate that he was very polite and attentive. •Also, the lady from the breakfast was nice and made a bread without cheese for me. Breakfast in general was ok in quantity and quality. •The location is ok, but I would have liked better to stay in Uchisar, is a prettier and quieter town. •The space in the room and bathroom were ok. •Heating was ok in the bedroom.
Cozy rooms with perfect location
A comfortable cave hotel located 3 mins walking from the center. It's a small town which can be covered on foot. A spectacular view from the terrace in the morning of hot air balloons. The staff is very friendly and helps you in guiding the tours available. They have cute cats around the hotel. The best part is it's not expensive and gives you all the qualities required in a good hotel.
Great room and great service mind.
I was stay at this hotel during 4-6 Nov, 2019. I was booking for the airport shuttle bus from NAV in advance. But the driver (outsource) wasn't show up for me in the middle of night. My flight was landing around 9 PM ,it was dark and cold out there. I asked the airport staff maked a call to the hotel owner. He is very nice and responsible to pick up me by the taski with the half price. But it's better then leave me alone overnight at the NAV airport that night. And I got the great room of this hotel with the fantastic window room, I can see the hot balloon out there when I waked up early morning. It was feel good. For the cat lovers, you will falls in love this hotel because they have a cute cat to welcome the guests, too. This hotel always impress me for along. Highly recommend!!! Thank you, Panittida.
Happy Times at Karadut Cave Hotel Oct 14-17, 2019
I had a fabulous stay at this hotel, loved my room, the aesthetics and whole ambience of this small, boutique like hotel. The Turkish breakfasts served with Turkish çhai (tea) were tasty, nutritious, gave me plenty of energy to move around with my camera to capture scenic as well as 'real life' shots around Cappadocia, especially in the town of Goreme. However, my happiest memories there are blessed by the warmth and humility of the owner, Aliçan, his helper Yasmin and the bubbly Anatolian cook who prepares breakfast and does the housekeeping too. It was home for me over 3 days, gave me the peace to sleep well and to wake up one morning to the sounds of hot air balloons firing up, then seeing them rising from my window of room No 7...I'll never forget it. Having had the surreal experience of a hot air balloon flight just the morning before, this view of balloons rising over the Valley was another incredible gift. As Karadut is not your normal 24hr service hotel, the reception to help you with service operates between 8.30am-12midnight which is a fair deal. Especially seeing how Aliçan himself is there to welcome you upon arrival, help you with your bags if needed and together with Yasmin constantly around through the day to attend to guest care. When we travel to a beautiful and fascinating place such as Cappadocia, we need to embrace what new adventures lay ahead, give up our comfort zone for a bit to live at a place or in a fashion that stretches our limits. It enhances and enriches our experience, even more so when we make connections that warm the heart. I was sad to leave but the entire Karadut experience only compels me to return to stay again, see more of the Anatolian region and her people. So Teşekkürler (many thanks) team Karadut!
Beyond Expectations. Even observing hot air balloons you need to go nowhere.
I must say the owner Ali is amazing though he is not available sometimes but he is always available over the phone and will try to definitely help you out in any way possible. I even booked both Green and Red tours from the hotel itself.Their buffet breakfast is average but its worth it. Rooms were nice and clean and is definitely worth the stay.
