Lovin Las Cruces
My husband and I are traveling from Florida to Washington for the 2nd time in the past 6 months and we only stay in Marriott hotels. As reward members we trust the safety standards that Marriott has put in place, but some of the brand's hotels have fallen woefully short. This hotel is not one of them. From the time we hit the parking lot the service was great! First, I have to say, there's this thing going on called a pandemic...maybe you've heard about it. Apparently, some of the Marriott hotel staff at other hotels have not. They offer a mobile key and yet we've still had to go to the front desk and check in which TOTALLY DEFEATS THE PURPOSE! But, at this hotel we were able to request it and they quickly sent it electronically so we could have a no contact experience. The mobile key did not work for the side door, but the customer service rep at the front desk was so professional, friendly and safe, it made up for it. We did not necessarily have to use the side door. I am one who can step into a hotel room and immediately tell you what the deal is. I could tell the room was clean when I first entered. I absolutely hate when the staff does a surface clean and expect the customer not to know. During a pandemic is NOT the time to mess around. This hotel was exceptional! They do not mess around. A+, Five stars, and whatever TripAdvisor award I can give them, it's done. Don't think about it, stay here.
Clean, Efficient, Friendly, Safe
This hotel is one of the first properties I have stayed at since the COVID-19 outbreak earlier this year. I was pleased to see a sparkling clean reception area and main entrance. The room was well cleaned and felt cleaner than pre-covid. The staff was all very friendly and professional. All in all I felt safe and comfortable staying at this property and would recommend it to other travelers. Please remember that the property does require face masks to be worn at all times outside of your room
One of the nicest Courtyards I've stayed at
I had a quick overnight stay in this hotel on my way through Las Cruses. The good: this is definitely one of the nicest Courtyard Marriott's I've stayed at, and I've stayed at PLENTY of them. It looks brand new. It's airy and open, the lobby is spacious, the room was bright and clean, and the bathroom was by far the nicest bathroom I've seen in a Courtyard. I felt like the hotel was extremely clean, and everyone I saw was wearing masks. The staff was friendly, there was plenty of parking, and the Whataburger just down the road was especially convenient. Courtyards are usually somewhat consistent in being "fine", but pretty average in many ways, but this property was far and away nicer than the average Courtyard. My only complaint was that when I checked in, the agent offered me a choice of welcome bonus: 500 Marriott points or a $10 voucher towards breakfast in the morning. What she didn't say was that breakfast ended REALLY early (I think it was 8am). When I showed up just after 9am the next morning, it was already well over, and when I asked why it closed so early, she said it was based on the occupancy of the hotel, and if there aren't a lot of people staying there, they stop breakfast earlier. That's fine (I suppose), but it's something that I should have been told when I was checking in and opting for the breakfast voucher. They did allow me to use that voucher at the mini-mart in the lobby, but two $4 bottles of water wasn't exactly the same thing as breakfast. Nevertheless, despite this complaint, I will say that this was definitely one of the nicest Courtyards I've stayed at, and I would absolutely stay there again. (I'd just make sure to ask exactly what time breakfast ended). I'm giving it five stars because the breakfast issue was fairly trivial and was probably just a small oversight on the part of the agent who checked me in. If not for that, it would have been a perfect overnight stay.
Final stop in New Mexico
Great hotel!!! Checking in was easy the gentleman at the front desk was super nice and recommended a few eating places. We took him up on one of his suggestions and were not disappointed, lucky for us it was also nearby. The hotel looks brand new, the room was very nice and clean and after driving all day it was nice to sleep in a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very nice and clean. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
Sadly disappointed
The hotel appears to be fairly new, the location was great for traveling I10 and at first glance, the room was nice. Then, I walked in to the bathroom. The floor was dirty and the toilet seat. We had already brought everything in and in no mood to change rooms and I'm sure housekeeping was gone. Plus, I don't want anyone else in the room while we are there in these times of Covid. Fortunately, I had disinfectant wipes and cleaned it myself. Very disappointed in Marriott.
