En la campiña Inglesa
Estuvimos alojados una noche, y aprovechamos para acercarnos a Stonenhe. Es un lugar magnífico: Decoración al estilo del lugar. Se puede jugar a criket, montar a caballo, hacer excursiones en biciclegta, disfrutar de su magnífica piscina, etc Lástima no ha berlo podido disfrutar más días.
Tree House Treat
We managed to squeeze in a pre- Christmas stay at the amazing Chewton Glen in between lockdowns ...& for 24 magical hours we totally forgot we were in the middle of a pandemic. Excellent service & total luxury as always, from the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out. It was especially lovely to have our Tree House decked out with its own real Christmas Tree. We dined in both the Kitchen & the Dining Room & the food & service in both was excellent. When we first visited the Chewton it was as a ‘One off, Bucket list’ special treat... We can’t wait to go back soon for our third visit! If we had one little suggestion it would be for there to be an option for Breakfast in the main dining room. Rather than just the Tree House Hamper.
Xmas Special
We had the most amazing family treat here over the 3 day Xmas break. Despite the ever changing Covid rules the hotel and their wonderful and attentive staff managed to lay on an unforgettable family holiday . The attention to detail was constantly surprising , the food was delicious , the setting was stunning and the memories will last a lifetime , bravo !
A Christmas Tradition
This is our 2nd visit to Chewton Glen for Festive Afternoon Tea🎄🎄🎅🎅 What more can I say.......💞💞 Incredibly friendly staff who are utterly polite and courteous Food is divine Venue simply perfect 🎄🎄🎄🎄 We’ve agreed it’s now our go to for pre Christmas celebrations Big big well done Chewton Glen Xx
Spa overtaken by noisy children! Lovely hotel rooms but too overpriced
We booked this stay expecting a relaxing romantic break for two. We were told on arrival that children were permitted in the pool. The poolside cafe was very expensive but good service. There were no empty loungers by the pool so we went through to the adult only Hydrotherapy section which was quite small and again no where to sit. The pool was very nice an definitely relaxing. Luckily we eventually had some beds to sit on. Just aswell because next door was invaded by absolutely loads of noisy badly behaved children!! Lots of adults fled into the Hydrotherapy part. However they had no where to sit and it meant the covid rules were broken due to too many people. The same applied next door as they definitely breached the Covid-19 limit! The noise was awful. Not what you would expect from a spa. We had a lovely room to relax. We had previously booked The Kitchen restaurant but we hadn't been told it was offsite! We had to be taken by car down the road. My partner ordered pizza but it was so disappointing. Undercooked with hardly any topping - not worth the price. The staff were very friendly and the pudding was amazing. The next morning we had breakfast in The Dining room and it was tastefully decorated. The breakfast was very nice. However they forgot the toast. We had to ask a further 4 times for the toast and 3 times for another coffee. It was unbelievable. They kept forgetting. The toast did arrive but we never saw the coffee and gave up. We did go back to spa the next morning and it was lovely and quiet. I know the hotel does cater for families but there should be a member of staff keeping the noise levels down and more importantly limit the number!
