ALoft New Orleans Downtown
Our stay was, overall, pleasant. Lena, the front desk associate, checked us in seamlessly. She was professional, gracious, offered good recommendations, and extended quality customer service. The location of the hotel is favorable, however, the room could have been cleaner in terms of dust and hairs that were present upon settling in. Beds could use more pillows.
A Great Spot for easy access to the French Quarter
Cant say enough GREAT things about this Hotel. A quick 2-3 Minute walk and your in the French quarter without actually having to stay in the French Quarter which has its own challenges. Easy Freeway access, good parking and best of all as mentioned a stones throw from Bourbon Street and all the action in the French quarter. OHHH and very very dog friendly to well behaved pups!!! Do us all a favor to keep it this way and take aggressive or yapper dogs elsewhere!
Great place to stay!
Clean, convienient, staff was great! Planned girls weekend and it was the perfect place to stay! Location was great. Parking was right around the corner. Staff gave us some great pointers about the area.
Would not stay here again...
The front desk was never accessible and the music in the lobby was so loud it was impossible to talk to them anyway, esp with masks. The carpet in our room had at least 5 large stains on the carpet and tons of paint chips on the wall. Def NOT the Marriott quality I am used to and expect!
Short staffed but Customer Service was amazing
The hotel was in the PERFECT location. 5 minute walk from the bar daisy dukes and 4 minute walk to Fiery Crab. Also maybe 10 minute walk to Bourbon. They were understaffed due to COVID which made their responsiveness delayed. I often had to call the front desk at least 3-4 times. The ethiopian woman at the front desk gave great customer service, assisted with the app’s failure of the mobile key. She also helped with changing my room because my original room smelled like cigarette smoke. Also, when I would request towels via the marriott app, it would take a minimum of 45 minutes to arrive which I assumed was because of short staff. However, one of the nights I stayed there was a large group of 6-8 people who claimed to be “waiting on their uber”, and came inside the hotel to wait. There was a tall gentleman at the door instructing them to leave however to my surprise the 5’10 black man at the front desk, allowed these non-residents to wait inside of the hotel without their masks on. I was not impressed at all. However, overall the staff was mostly nice and welcoming including the woman at the concierge information desk as well as the valet attendant with the glasses. They were amazing. I just wish they had more staff to allow the hotel to run more smoothly.
