Comfortable and Quiet!

Reviewed 27 september, 2021

Nice room; big bed; and quiet as it is far from the noise but close to the streetcars. Check in is at the Prytania Park Hotel just around the corner where there is ample FREE parking. The rooms are high-ceilinged in an old mansion. The only down-side is the continental breakfast--it's available from 7a to 9a and consists of coffee, tea, cereal and fruit. But that is so de minimus! No big deal! We loved it and will be back. Management is extremely courteous. Nice and clean. Excellently priced. We will never stay anywhere else. Unless we try the Prytania Park.

Incredibly beautiful place!

Reviewed 4 february, 2020

The first time we found the Queen Anne hotel, we were swept away. It is an exquisite little manor home turned hotel in the Garden district, less than two miles from downtown. It is quiet, every room is exquisitely clean and spacious (we’ve stayed in two of the three different room types now) and the staff are wonderfully friendly. The only downside is the parking. There used to be a lot right across the street, but it’s blocked off as of 02/01/20. All parking is to be done (for free still, yaaaay!!!) around the corner at their other hotel. A little bit of a bother, but for such a beautiful hotel, in such a quiet space, with such wonderful staff? It is well worth the walk.

Beautiful Old Mansion With Character

Reviewed 2 september, 2019

This is one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. The interior of the mansion is gorgeous as was my room. It was very spacious and comfortable with a four poster bed that had a little stool going up to it. It had a very large and comfortable bathroom as well. The neighborhood is very quaint and quiet. I didn't mind the walk at all to get breakfast at the sister property a block away, it was nice to get up for a little walk in the morning. The first day I had breakfast in the little courtyard, but the day after I brought breakfast back to my room. They have actual bowls and plates in the room, along with a coffee maker, and a microwave. I liked the breakfast as I am a fan of waffles (which were not cold, there is a toaster). The bed was very comfortable, I slept very well, and never heard anyone else. I felt safe in the neighborhood too and it was an easy walk to the French Quarter. I enjoyed that the Ogden Museum of Southern Art was on the way back to the hotel, there is also a fantastic vegan restaurant about two blocks down on Prytania St. I just got home today from my trip to New Orleans and I miss it already, will definitely come back and stay here again!

Old Southern Charm

Reviewed 6 august, 2019

First of all, the price was right! Based on what we paid, I would say that the Queen Anne Hotel was the best value in NOLA. We absolutely loved our stay at the Queen Anne! It's an old Southern Mansion converted to a hotel, so there aren't a ton of rooms. It was very quiet. The room was large and comfortable, decked out in old southern charm. The bed hugged my body and gently rocked me to sleep each night (or maybe, I was just drunk...LOL) Early each morning, we would have our coffee on the veranda (before it got too hot out). The Queen Anne is in a quiet neighborhood and I easily found street parking right out front everyday. It is one on 3 properties, owned by the same company within a block of one another. Continental breakfast was served (for free) each morning at one of the properties (Prytanina) right up the street. Not to mention, it is centrally located to EVERYTHING! The Queen Anne will definitely be my first choice anytime I am in New Orleans

We'll be back!!

This is one of 3 hotel buildings (each with their own name) within a block of each other all operated by one company. It was a block from where our daughter lives in the Lower Garden District, so it was very convienently located to her house, the trolley, the ammenities on St Charles (restaurants and bars) and walking distance to the Garden District, and even the French Quarter if you are energetic - otherwise the trolley is very simple to ride for $1.50 a trip or $3.00 for a 24 hr day pass. The hotel was excellent for us. We had a 3rd floor room and enjoyed the exercise of the stair climb. The Queen Anne is an old home that was very stately in its day and the rooms are clean, quiet, and include their own bath. We met a few other couples there that were having a good time and one couple that has come 2 times a year for 10 years. We loved our stay, the staff were all very nice. The continental breakfast was perfect for us. We will definitely be back and would definitely recommend it!!
