Inexpensive but unclean and uncomfortable! We left early!
Reviewed 8 June, 2021
This place is not only outdated but it’s worn and our room was not clean!! We left early because the condo was so uncomfortable.
We got into our room late and no one had turned the AC down. It was 78 degrees in our room and the room smelled like mildew and wet dog. Keeping the condo cold after helped the smell but it was still there.
There was baked on food on the stovetop and the counters weren’t very clean. Opened the fridge and part of the shelving in the door was broken and there was a long dark hair on the shelf. The handle of the fridge was nasty but after scrubbing everything I decide it was bc it was so old and worn. The toaster did not work. In the bathroom there was a long dark hair in the sink. The tub had a bug in it. The towels were scratchy and hard and the fibers would come off and stick to you and get in your eyes. We got a set once that smelled like buttered popcorn. The furniture used to be yellow maybe?? Now it is grey and gross looking and very uncomfortable. Couldn’t find a comfortable seat in the whole condo. The best ones were the plastic Adirondack chairs outside on the balcony. I ended up either standing or sitting in the bed. The bed was the icing on the cake. It was so uncomfortable. I could clean the condo- which I did but not the floors I just wore shoes all the time- but nothing was helping the bed. I sat on it and both sides came up. Much like a cheap dorm bed. We even went out and bought a topper for it to see if it would help. It didn’t. Obviously others had too bc we saw one in the stairwell that must have been left.
The staff was all very nice except one lady who worked the desk in the early afternoon who seemed to hate tourists.
I thought it spoke volumes when we told them we were checking out early and they didn’t even ask why. Do not stay here. It may be inexpensive but it’s miserable.
A Nice Stay and A Great Value

Our room, as well as the building, were in need of a facelift, which is why I cannot give it five stars. That being said, everything else was great. Clean, excellent water pressure, firm bed, beautiful ocean views, nice little kitchen, a nice little patio to sit outside and watch the ocean and beach activity, and spacious with lots of room to store your stuff. The staff was very friendly, helpful and respondent. We had an issue with sugar ants (our fault, we left some cookies on the counter in the kitchen), which was taken care of by maintenance within 10 minutes of my reporting the problem to the front desk (and we were nicely told what to do to prevent a recurrence). Some reviews have mentioned the sports bar. Our unit on the 4th floor was facing the sports bar, and while there was some music coming from it which was audible, it was not annoying when we were in the unit with the door closed. We have friends in NSB, and we will be returning again in October for a wedding. When we do, we will be staying at Ocean Trillium Suites.

There is a sports bar next door that is quite loud, but I did not find that it was open late or disturbed our peace.
Due to Covid- we opted to stay in the room for dinner, the kitchen has some essentials but I had brought my own expecting that they would not have what I needed. There was no corkscrew or can opener.
We brought our own lysol wipes and cleaned the room, and the room was not as clean as it should have been.
The bed was SUPER comfortable.
We did not spend any time in the living room- but it was standard and a decent size.
There is no screens on the patio doors, so you can't leave them open which we had wanted to do.
The patio does not look right down to the beach, but you can see the water from all rooms. Our room was towards the front of the building so our view was definitely not as good as those towards the back.
There is driving on the beach adjacent but there is no driving allowed on the beach directly behind the building- and there is a lifeguard stand right there, so if you are traveling with children, I recommend swimming right in that area.
Trillium Suites Best Bet in NSB

Hubby and I have spent every anniversary weekend at Trillium for years and the standards remain the same. We were not disappointed this year when we stayed 4 nights. It was such a pleasure to stay again where the condo unit was well maintained and everything works. This is a condo unit that is not luxurious but clean and more spacious than a hotel. Bedroom, living room and full sized kitchen makes it easy to stay longer if needed. The staff is friendly and courteous. The location on the ocean beach is perfect for beach lovers. There is also a convenience store, three varying priced restaurants, and a cute ice cream shop within close walking distance. My hints are to make sure the one elevator is working if you have trouble climbing stairs. We have never been there when it wasn’t working but we know from condo owner that it has happened. Also, no beach towels provided and NO SMOKING on premises. Which we love. Towels and toiletries are on par with economy hotels. Since the breakfast places may be further than you wish to walk, pack your own or stop at one of the two grocery stores on the island. You can’t get a better place to stay on this popular Florida beach for the money than Ocean Trillium Suites.
The sports bar next door ruined our stay

The condo itself is fine, clean and well appointed. Next door is a sports bar with a large outside patio and pool. It has a spring break atmosphere with loud speakers. If you are seeking quiet and to hear the ocean waves this is not the place to be.
