More about the hotel
Never again
When I arrived to the hotel it was a bit past 3pm which is check in time and the front desk told me that my room wasn’t ready and it would be in 20-30 mins. However when my room was ready it had an awful smell to it and the bathtub was dirty still , they quickly came to clean the bathroom which was a plus. However I was here for a week and night 2 I woke up in the middle of the night from something biting my body . When I looked in the mirror I have bite marks all over my arms and shoulders I searched the bed seen nothing went back to sleep and I woke up to more marks on my feet and body. I’ve stayed in this hotel 2xs before and have no issues but this time as very unacceptable
Needed A Break
Seen this hotel before located by my favorite diner “triple crown”. The rates weren’t bad, room clean, free breakfast had several varieties, free parking. Definitely coming back for a holiday getaway. There’s a food town, fat ernies, triple crown diner, Starbucks, subway all in short distance. I recommend this place
Stay ANYWHERE else
Booked last minute for a wedding. Upon arrival, we realized there was NO good parking. Check in was a breeze, we got our keys and headed to the basement to find out room. YES....the basement. Our view was of the 5 car parking lot, where anyone walking by could look down into our "room". There was no closet, and the room was tiny. We soon realized that none of the outlets worked. We changed rooms, and ended up across the hall with a view of the feet on the street through our tine windows at the top of the room. We got back from the wedding at 2am, to find that there was NO parking near the small prison cell we rented for the night, and had to walk 2 blocks, at 2am, in queens. Not a good experience at all, would NEVER stay here again. By far, the seediest place I've ever stayed. Find another place to stay, do not stay here.
Dirty, cramped and noisy
We booked this hotel last minute after a problem with our flight and it was one of few with availability that had a ‘good’ rating and the supplied images looked good. Upon arrival the reception staff were really nice and helpful. We went to our room and it was like walking into one of those seedy motel rooms you see in movies! The bedding was stained and nothing like the advertised rooms, the bathroom wasn’t clean, with pubic hair on the wall and toilet. There’s a shonky coffee machine that I had to clean before we could use it. The room was so small that once our 2 cases and bags were in there, space was hard to find. Breakfast wasn’t nice at all. There’s 24 hour coffee if you want to get dressed to go and get some first thing or in the evening. We left after the first night as the place was so depressing. Area is incredibly isolated, so hard to figure out why it was so noisy at night. The walls are paper thin, the guy in the next room coughed all night long and kept us awake. All in all, this place needs a serious overhaul!
Excellent for price
Small room but perfectly adequate and it only took us about 15 minutes to drive to JFK airport. Late checkout was not a problem and staff were very helpful. Despite other reviews stating that it is noisy I did not find that at all - I had a room at the rear of the hotel. Sleep comfort was good and breakfast adequate. Free car parking was a bonus. Supermarket directly across the road. Also a short (20 minute) drive to the American Airpower museum at Farmingdale.
